As usual, I look forward with to this game with eager anticipation and optimism, but our away form has been terrible so I'm hoping for a draw at best. We have won 2 away games but they were against Wigan and Charlton. Hardly what you might call premium competition. Look at the facts: Spurs have a fantastic home record and we have a crappy away record. All this points to a Spurs win.

Still, here's hoping our lads lift themselves and that lady luck favours us this time. But if I see another 3-4-3 or Crouch starting..... I'm switching off the telly straight away... :p

3 - 0  Crouch Hatrick   :)

I wish. No todays game will be a very hard game. Spurs home form is very impressive this year and they will be a tough nut to crack. Defoe has been in brilliant form recently so we will have to keep a close eye on him.

Tottenham are always a difficult fixture at White Hart Line but theres the added pressure on the lads today because of the loss to Blackburn on Boxing Day. I hope Rafa goes back to the 4 - 4 - 2 formation whatever his starting 11 is.

If we lose today and if the others win, we'll fall even further behind the CL places and it'll be uphill from there. The good thing is that Pompey and Bolton are playing each other. A draw would be nice.

I'd be happy with a draw considering their home record and our away record.

mmm...if ur talking in general...not only abt tottenhams game..
barzagli of palermo is a good center back who is available and would command a first team slot in almost any club in the world... dont think wee need a centerback at the moment though...
or let me put it this way... we have other positions that we need to improve before further improving our center back options !

Im having a few reservations too... in the circumstances id take a draw. (sorry for sounding pessimistic) Of course a late smash and grab would be just the tonic like !!  :buttrock

If we can play our own game instead of trying to mess up tottenhams game which is what we seem to do away i think we would win this. Gerrard hopefullys on a high after winning his MBE. Berbatov is doubtful with an ilness and lennon and mido are doubtful too. Come on liverpool !

Any sort of win would be great today. We never seem to get the breaks at Spurs even though we are usually the better side. Hopefully our fortunes will change today and start us off on another good run. Hopefully Agger gets the nod today because Hyypia always seems to struggle against Keane, and Defoe is on form at the moment.

I can see a few goals in this game so I'm going for an optomistic 4 -2 to Liverpool.
