Rafa should get him down to the gym , bulk up and strengthen those neck muscles . The lads got talent but he's not making the most of it .

ive been saying that for months.

it's not his neck muscles, it's his timing of the jump, he mis-timed the ball almost every time, hence he cannot get to strike the ball with force.

I agree, he should be walking around with a neck like a heavyweight boxer, if he learnt to header with power he'd be lethal

I think thats more the reason why his heading isn't what it should be. With two of the headers against Blackburn due to the fact that he was on his way back down after his jump his header was weak, infact the second one (from Finnan's cross) he took that much pace off it, it was almost like a cushioned defensive header.
I really think it is something that should be able to be taught, he has an awful lot of qualities but with regards to his heading due to his height he could and should be lethal.

I reckon if he could header properly he would easily get 15 + goals a season, he's not a bad all round player either, he scores a reasonable amount with his feet, I hope he stays

I have nothing against Crounch.  However sometimes the individual must be sacrificed for the greater good.  Everybody has their price, and Owen aside I think we have always got a reasonable amount for those who have left, considering what they have gone on to do, and the re-sale value they have then accrude.

Honestly? I think most people in this thread are f*cking insane.

Peter Crouch has been one of the best players in a Liverpool shirt over the last 18 months.

Yes, I wish he was faster. Yes, I wish he was better with his head. Yes, I wish he scored more goals.

In terms of what he brings to the team though, I think Rafa would be demented to let him go for anything less than a crazy offer. And £12m vastly undervalues him as far as I'm concerned.

We need four quality strikers. We have three, and an out of condition Robbie Fowler, who would be the fourth if he could get more games behind him. Peter Crouch has been an inspired signing, and he'll keep getting better over the next couple of years. Look how much he's developed since he's been here. 95% of this forum were stunned when we signed him, and he's won all but a handful over with his work ethic, his ability on the ball and what he brings to our attacking play.

He's not figured much recently because Rafa is rightly letting Kuyt and Bellamy find their way in the team together. When things sag a little though, Crouch will come in and get a run of him own, and all of this absolute h*rseshit will all be forgotten about.

Don't confuse what Glenn Roeder wants with what Glenn Roeder gets. He's going nowhere. He'll be leading the line for years to come.

No wonder the lad is cheesed off!  Crutch, Crounch, Critch, Crotch....when we do all eventually settle on a correct name for the lad, he'll be long on his way... :D

Nice one red!!

i thought his name was Peter Couch Potato Head.

Still think he is on his way though. Rafa said the same regarding Cisse and looked what happened.

Rafa tells lies sweet little lies.

David Villa is on his way here very soon, and i mean very soon.

Remember Rafa Benitez tells sweet little lies.

hahahaha ! 12 million undervalues Crouch...VASTLY...hahaha !
take a reality pill mate !

if crouch is undervalued at 12 million... how much do the likes of Kaka, C.Ronaldo, Torres and Messi cost...
not to mention others like Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Henry who cost more because of their commercial value and all !

Crouch is a nothing when compared to the big names in the world ! 12 million is a big amount of money... premiership or not ! i think that Crouch is a player valued at more or less 5 million... any bid higher than that is one we should consider.

With new investment coming in by summer, i expect us to improve on the quality of our squad... replacing Crouch by a better forward can only be good for liverpool !

P.S: crouch is one of my fav. players ... just dont like it wen ppl start talking fantasy on this forum

Glad that you're not in charge of our finances. Why would you consider selling a player for a lower amount of what you paid for him?

If we forked out 7 million for Crouch we shouldn't consider any bids less than that as that would mean losing money. We have made him into an English international who has a decent goalscoring record.

This is the most pointless debate ive ever seen or heard. Crouch is sh*te, end of!!!!
He cost us that game against blackburn the other day, we should have been two nil up at least by half time, but no!! cuz crouch cant put the ball in the net. Anyone who argues otherwise let me ask you this- considering that he has started in most of the big games (chelsea, man utd, arsenal etc..) since his arrival, how many of them games has he actually put in a performance in- NONE!!!!!-its like playing with ten men. He hugs the touchline like hes thierry fuc*ing henry, well ive got news for you he aint, and when he does actually get his slow :censored: in the box he aint no use anyway. If anyone thinks were gonna win anything with that freak then they are dillusional, Crouch good enough for LFC- NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well... you wanna live in your little world of delusion where crouch is valued ... ugh... my bad.... undervalued at 12 million pounds its your pick...
for me, he's a good player at best and one we could easily replace if we have the proper funding .

many many many players who are miles and miles better than crouch will ever be are available and would cost less than 12 million ! what the fak are you lot saying !
