When I was running round Birkenhead Park I was always Robbie Fowler. He loved Liverpool and we loved him. He was absolutely fantastic for us and it was a really sad day for Liverpool and football as a whole when he left. When he came back, I was buzzing, he may not be the Robbie of old but he will never lose his cult status ever. And he derserves it. That was my highlight of 2006.
good point.
i still remember the day he came back. it was almost surreal. i don't think robbie himself could quite believe it to be honest.
he's still got a great deal to offer. not as much as he used to but he's still far and away the best finisher at the club. infact he's probably the best finisher i've ever seen in my lifetime.
did you never see ian rush?, st michael...
it would be a hard call to make who is better finisher, but rush one on one with a kepper was always only one outcome
