Absoloute :censored: and shockingly bad thread with awful replies.

A class players a class player wherever they play. They don't suddenly become a bad player over night because they move into a different league.

Anyone who sits there and says someone who can perform against Nesta, Cannavaro, Puyol, Maldini and Woodgate and can perform against english sides in Europe can't do it in the premier league because its to fast is talking absoloute nonsensical bullshit. Maybe they can't do it because they haven't adapted to a teams style, but its :censored: all to do with ability.

You're either a class player or you aren't. Simple. You either fit into a teams style or you don't. It has :censored: all to do with the "pace" and "physicallity" of the league.

Juninho done ok, as did Kinkladze, Zola, Bergkamp, none of which were particularly athletic.

The fact is, its about quality. End of story.

There are probably 20 or more players in Serie A who, in Italy, are pretty bog-standard, but in the EPL would be World beaters. Same with Spain.

Absoloutely disagree 100%.

The players I mentioned above were not athletic players.

Its about quality. Simple as that.

Joe Cole isn't athletic, neither is Fabregas.

Come on what the :censored: you on about. Of course it has something to do with it, So Morientes we all knew is a class player, but the  premiership was to fast and to physical for him. He was given long enough to adapt to premiership football but just couldn't hack it.

Shevchenko is exactly the same a world class player but the physical side and the pace of the game in the premiership is just passing him by. He and morientes are similar players in the way they play. But morientes flopped, and shev is on the way to becoming a flop.

Why have they flopped. simple haven't got the mental strength to cope with the english game. to physical and to fast for them. Also they are approaching the end of there careers. Not the sort of league to play in at there time in there careers. They are quality players yes!! But not in the premiership.....

What a load of :censored:, as stated in the above post, Morientes and Shevchenko were both considered world class strikers at some points in their career but in the premiership they look lost. Look at Morientes now at Valencia, hes scored 11 goals already.

Veron was one of the best midfielders in the world when he went to the mancs, but in the 3 years he spent in the prem he never looked like the same player.

Physicality doesn't have anything to do with it, just some players are suited to certain leagues.
