I was in Liverpool in January/February and there's plenty to do. Anfield goes without mention and both the Anglican and Catholic Cathedrals are defo worth a visit.
Check out Chinatown, just down from the Anglican Cathedral. The arch in Chinatown is the one of the biggest (if no biggest) outside China I believe. Albert Dock is a must - the Museum of Liverpool Life has a good football exhibition, with lots of Liverpool stuff and an a piece of the old standing kop. Matthew Street and Bold Street as Woolly mentioned are good for a night out. If you want a great view of the city, take a tour of the Radio City tower (tallest building in Liverpool I think), it's only a few pounds and you can check out the studios and stuff (where Aldo does his commentary) as well as take some great photos.
Book in the Museum and Stadium tour if you haven't already, asbolutley brilliant. Don't forget to walk round the back of the kop and check out the Shankly Gates and Hillsborough Memorial (tour doesn't cover them). As for Bars around the ground the Sandon is good and the Albert. Oh pay a visit to the HJC shop as well if you want, just across the road from Anfield.
There's plenty to do, Cavern Club, take a ferry across the mersey etc etc. Liverpool is a fantastic city mate, I'm sure you'll love it.
