hola Liverpool fans I am very happy about play your club. I think you are amaze team I would like to wish you the best in our match. Its a great day to be play you.

Hello and welcome Barca. I'm sure that the atmosphere will be great in both stadiums. Please teach some manners to the idiot, and tell him in the nice Catalan language that saying that Barcelonas has only 2 continental titles is because Franco is bóllocks. Franco did not have power in Europe did he?

Barcelona is a great club, but you'd better not be confident in this draw. Good luck

This will be a great game, and we can defo get through. The master tactician Benitez, will plan and prepare for this one.

Also in spaih, they are all weary of Benitez and the spanish contingency, Barca see this as a hard draw too.

Definately the tie of the round. I feel we'll get through, "I feel it in my fingers.. I feel it in my toes..."  :)

Barcelona is a graet tie for us. if we win we beat the best team, if we go out then we go to the best team..........but we stand a great chance, 0-0 away aor even if we go down 1-0 it will still be a great night we we bring them home to Anfield, NIGHTS LIKE THAT IS WHAT WE ARE ALL ABOUT.

lts hope its two good games of football.

Eto'o and Messi will be ready on January and they will be ready and able to break livers' asses. Nowadays, Liverpool is such a weak team as a first division spanish team ( malaga, ponferradina,...). In Liverpool plays Luis Garcia a player that we fired. He hadn't enough level to play for us.
It would be easy to go through the next round. We have been very lucky and I can see clearly "la tercera" (the third).
Liverpool won't be a stone in the way. It's weaker than Barcelona. You don't have any chance. Welcome to the real world. Barcelona today it's a party!!

Kind of makes you look a bit silly doesnt it amigo... (Still, every city's got 'em.  - Bitters that is!)     Tell you what, your clubs representatives at the UEFA draw in Nyon, certainly looked 'shocked' when the mighty name of LFC came out the hat.... but then again, thats because of our respect and stature within the game... and their acknowledgement of the task before them. Thats what its like for the vast majority of footy fans the world over who consider the opposition as a foe to be treated with a basic degree of courtesy before an encounter...shame really, there seems to be followers of your great club across the continent who do you the most ingracious service "Rot'ten'cod", in presenting themselves as 'knowledgeable' and humble people...you should have a word with them and learn something about the virtues of both practising humility and the art of simple manners. Not to mention a grasp of the game of football itself. Welcome to our forum btw.

Well well well.

If anyone can stop Barcalona, it's us. (I'm not saying we WILL stop them - just that we're better equipped than anyone else.)

Welcome to "Barca", but the rest of their fans on here who are chatting sh*t can just feck right off. Our record in this tournament earns our respect - we don't need to take cack off these imbeciles.

Right - back to the tie:

Hucking Fell. Talk about doing things the hard way!

I think it's time for Rafa to pull off another masterstroke.

We'll need it.

Joan Laporta, chairman of Barcelona in Marca:

"Liverpool were the rival I wished."

Laporta wasn't too upset with the luck of Barcelona. A draw that will be especial due to the returning to Nou Camp of men like Reina and Luis Garcia, and because it will match the two last champions of the competition. Nonetheless Laporta admitted that "they were one of the draws I preffered"

"It will be an interesting clash" said the president, because the english team "Is a strong squad, that practices a powerful football and has men of skill like Gerrard and Luis Garcia". Although he preffered to play the second game in Barcelona he still thinks that "we're the team to beat" (meaning, favourites) "we're the current champions".

----

Well, the chairman seem to be confident. Which is nice. In my opinion Liverpool has been stronger as the season advanced, and I think it's nice for us they're confident. :;):

P.S Txiki Begiristain, they former player that makes the signing ups for them has said that Barcelona will require to do two good matches home and away to beat Liverpool. That they must not hurry too much in Nou Camp to leave the draw decided, and they must have patience. He pointed out that LFC is very solid defending and receive few goals. Anyway he admitted he'd fear more Milan or Olympique Lyonnaise
