Just read about booing fans couple days ago, is this true?
If so this is disgraceful.

Yes Pennant got booed off when he was subbed. I didn't boo him but I feel the fans are fully justified who did.

There was booing at the final whistle but it was aimed at the referee for ending the game not at the team, the media took the oppurtunity to sh*t stir

Just to clear it up:

Pennant : There where a few ironic cheers, after a pi.ss poor display, but no booing at the substitution.

Full Time : There was a lot of booing, including from me, but this was all aimed at the referee and the style of play employed by Pompey. Not the reds performance.

We havew the best fans in the world and i really doubt that we did this,

thats stupid and i hate the type of fans that boo there team off the pitch and then the next week, cheer them and praise them and say there the best in the world

I have never been a fan who's dishes out stick to players but had a debate with my brother over whether its right to give players the boo's when they are not performing.

My argument was that some fans are right to show players who aren't pulling their weight to start earning their wages but he says it only has a negative effect at the end of the day.

Saying that are we just expecting a bit too much from Pennant?

It's one thing to boo a player that is not working hard but it is not acceptable to boo a player that tries his best. Pennant has been pretty crappy but he is at least trying.

LFC HAVE THE BEST FANS IN THE WORLD.  I was at todays game and spent my time in awe of the fans.  Their singing was fantastic. THe thing that touched me most was the "Justice for the 96".  The club and the team know the expectations of the fans.  Most of the antaganism towards us is just jealousy.  I applaud you all you are simply the best and you will never walk alone :buttrock
