The Italian international is under contract with the Serie A outfit until the end of the season.

"There are several English clubs interested in me, especially Liverpool," Amelia told the Italian media after Sunday's 2-2 draw at Reggina.

"I have agreed with (club owner Aldo) Spinelli to renew my contract but we have postponed the meeting until the new year."

However, Amelia is unlikely to remain at the Leghorn-based club for a further season having received several tempting offers.

The 24-year-old is also a target of AC Milan, who are looking for a replacement for injured goalkeeper Nelson Dida and are willing to pay a reported £6million for Amelia.

Not another bloody keeper! Our best keeper plays for Charlton and we've just let another great keeper go not to mention Reina, Dudek and young Martin with all that said i think we have enough cover and would be surprised to see if this rumour has any truth

tue i do not no much about this guy but it is true to be said we dont need anyother keeprs!! i think are best is out on loan at charlton and we have reina dudek and martin!` save the money rafa lol

at the start of the season it was clear Reina was struggling, but now i think hes picked up his game and looks like a safe pair of hands for once in this grim season. Hes kept 3 clean sheets which isn't bad and is a start for the Spaniard. People have been giving him stick every since that harsh excuse of a mistake made during the West Ham and Everton games and i think it's not on. Keep your money in your pocket Rafa :;):

As for this new keeper from what I've read in the papers it's all coming from himself and he's got a contract negotiation coming up. It doesn't take Carol Vorderman to add all of this up does it??

We don't need another keeper. Kirkland was good enough if only he'd kept himself injury-free. And now we have the best young keeper in the country with Carson. I would say, keep Carson with Charlton until end of season to gain 1 full season's experience, and then bring him back to the first team. Dudek can go then, assuming he doesn't push for a move this Jan.

No disrespect to Charlton, but it's a good thing Carson is there. He's sure getting a lot of practice, them being as bad as they are now. :laugh:
