Van Gaal is trying to do the same with AZ now. Not so much experience but a lot of very young great talents. Only problem is that it is hard to keep these players in the Dutch League. But thats just the way it is...
Thats why I am proud of PSV, if you look at who they lost the last years;
Robben (Chelsea), Rommedahl (Charlton Athl.), Kezman (Chelsea), Vogel (AC Milan), v. Bommel (Barcelona), Park (Man. Utd.), Lee (Tott. Hotsp.), Bouma (Aston Villa), Ooijer (Blackburn Rovers), Vennegoor of Hesselink (Celtic).
They might not all be stars now, but they were always in the starting line up for us. And most of them were part of the team, that made it to the semifinals of the CL the year the Reds won..
Very true. That Ajax side was broken up and they lost so many players. A lot went for free as well under the Bosman ruling so Ajax missed out on a lot of fee's.
What do u think of Hesselink? Im half scottish and love Celtic. His done very well for us just been injured. Back now though and was very pleased we got him.
