they probably could have found it very easy to have been biased about it. and it appears refreshing that you found their delivery anything but. i too watched some of Sky Sports transmission of the Wales tie on SS1 and i can tell you it probably wasnt half as authoritative as S4C's version of events Taff.

yeah.

i used to go to the wrestling every friday night at liverpool stadium in the 70's. it was great, i remember john cortez, adrian sweet (or street), crusher mason, mitzi mueller, the wild man of borneo.

it was crazy especially when the crowd would also join in and leather the wrestlers as they leave the ring (only in liverpool    :D )

  Was in Africa and S.E asia for most of the 70's PeeWee , but I used to go to the same stadium in the 60's , saw people like Tibor Szasaks ( sp? good clean wrestler) ,Kendo Nagasaki (a pretend samurai , who was actually from Stoke on Trent  :D and wrestled well into the late 70's) and Hans Striker ( an ersatz Nazi ,leather gear, Hitler salutes, Goose stepping round the ring , the lot , coming less than 20 years after WW2 he got a lot of stick from the crowd , one night some old lady attacked him with a wooden  folding chair   she split his f'ucking head open  , as you say "Only in Liverpool")

I used to love watching Big Daddys partner as he got hammered and abused by two evil wrestlers, then he only just managed to make it back to tag the Big Man who entered to huge applause and the look of fear from the opposition was priceless :D

the skinny bloke who actually used to wrestle with big daddy was davey boy smith who went onto fame in the wwf, he bulked up a bit obviously with steroids, they eventually took their toll killing him. he fought as the british bulldog.

he is from goldborne

David Vine was a class act back in the 70's & 80's........... along with Ron Pickering they were great on Superstars and doing the Athletics........ Nowadays there are too many who say what they think people will want to hear instead of what they actually think, the absolute worst (and this is not a Bitter thing) is Andy Gray...... he is shocking in that he panders up to the top people in the game and delights in knocking the rest, he was a decent player back in the day but no world beater and he ought to remember that.
Of those who I rate, Jim Beglin is quite good and John Champion on ITV is also but the master of them all has got to be the one and only Sid Waddell......... Genius!!
