Rest in Peace Phil, we all miss ya on these boards but you've certainly left your mark on this place.

I don't know if you've got the net up there lad but everyone's having a good ole bitch about results and it's a real shame you can't be here to put a few of em right.

I've only known Phil from my home, so far away here in Malaysia, in these forum pages.

What a lovely fella and such a nice guy, always conducted himself so very well. Taken away at such a young age, I'm gonna miss his intelligence and wit here.

Rest in peace my friend.

YNWA.

What a wonderful tribute and send off, for an endearing man.

Thank you to Karen her friends and family for taking the time, at such a diffciult time to post on here for us all. It is a testamount to Phil that he brought us altogether, in a way that will continue. His memory will live on in the pages of this forum.

On a personal level, Phil was a dear friend, someone I got to know well over two years ago, when he mentioned in passing, in a thread, that he was off work due to illness... well the rest is history as they say.

There had been many moments of laughter, but as Phil's health deteriorated and things got more and more serious, there were many moments of worry and tears shed. Lyndsey and I spent many a time cryin over what was happening to our friend and the sense of helplessness felt was overwhelming.

Today Karen faces life without Phil and the challenges of this world. So if there is anything you want to do then donate to the paypal account set-up by Ciggy PAYPAL DONATIONS FOR KAREN TO BE SENT TO karenlroberts@hotmail.co.uk.

Thank you all again for the support you have all offered to Phil, Karen, the family and their friends during this time, you have all been incredible.

A lovely service remembering a top man.

Phil obviously had many loving people around him, and is no doubt looking on with pride.

The floral tributes from Zara and Supersub were lovely, and the banner Leon provided was the finishing touch.

The people on this forum have obviously made an enduring impression on the Gibson family, and I for one am extremely proud to associate (albeit mainly impersonally) with those members who's gestures have surpassed all expectations.

It is the stuff of legend - an internet forum, brought together by Liverpool FC, linking arms when one of it's members falls.

I salute each and every one of you, and it makes me believe that even in this day and age, there is still evidence of the milk of human kindness.
And who more deserving of that kindness than Phil, Karen, and their children?

Bless you all.

Rest in Peace Phil, mate. Your legend will live on through your family.

And finally to Karen:

Nothing I can say will ease your pain, but your family (including your new In-Laws) obviously care a great deal about you and the kids. Keep them around you - their support will be invaluable.

Your unwaivering dedication to Phil in his months of need have endeared you to me and the many members on here.

God bless you, and if you ever need anything, you know where I and your other 4,500 friends are to be found.

Stay in touch.  :)
