Could any boss in the World win the Premiership at LFC, other than our own Benitez? Could they f*ck.
Any placing Rafa gets us is better than any other manager could achieve.
You'd do well to remember that.
RUSHIE#9 wrote:Still today I find myself wondering IF rafa can deliver the holy grail to anfield after yesterdays performance (and I didn't even see it so I may be getting some of this wrong but bear with me). In the previous poor displays away from Anfield I have been very defensive of Rafa and laid alot of the blame at the feet of the players, but after seeing the defending in yesterdays game for the goals I am starting to question some of his tactics. Teams have gone to the Emirates this season and flooded the midfield in a 4-5-1 and it HAS worked. What does Rafa do? 4-4-2 and plays straight into their hands. The zonal marking is again causing us problems as opposition players just aren't being picked up properly. This tactic may work in spain and europe but when defending corners in these competitions the attackers aren't always as mobile as they are in the premiership.
Playing Sami against one of the paciest attacking sides in the league is again a questionable descision in my eyes. He's 33 for fooks sake and is struggling for pace. From what I've seen of the goals from yesterday his lack of pace was costly and maybe it's time to say 'Cheers for everything Sami but we need to move on now'.
Yesterday like many I thought Stevie would be moved into the middle. I can see what Rafa's thinking is by playing him on the right 'cos he is freed up to go roaming around the pitch and when he's in the middle it is going to leave us exposed at the back with his roaming runs forward. However Zenden for GerrardI'm seriously puzzled by this one.
This isn't another nob 'ead calling for Rafa's head I still have faith in him but that is starting to waiver ever so slightly. Rafa is only part way through what is a massive job and he fully deserves the minimum 5 years that foollier got.
The rest of this season now has to be about what it was for ME at the start. IMPROVEMENT. I always felt that a full on assault at the title was still a year or two away and I still believe that's the case but we need to have a long unbeaten run in the league from now 'til the end of the season with at least 10 out of 12 points taken from the games against Cheat$ki, MancSh1te, the arse and the Blues*i*e.
IN RAFA WE (I) STILL TRUST, but we need to see you addressing these blatantly obvious problems with the team that so far you're either being stubborn about or naive about.

Wenger dropping Henry for a vital league match at Old Trafford last winter?). But, he's brought us a remarkable amount of success at a time when we are some ways behind the buying power and playing strength of our main rivals.
Those that want him out need to ask: who else could have achieved what he has with this club in the last 2.5 years? And, who else could step in now and turn us into a team that could fight off the Mancs, Arsenal and Chelsea for the title? No one.
