The problem with having an inspirational skipper is when he doesnt inspire we look clueless.
Back to the drawing board now Rafa.

DonnieDarko wrote:We have some major problems:
1). Lack of width. We have no "wingers" in the team that are worth a damn. As a result the field is narrow which equals back passes and lost possession in the midfield. This is probably 60% of our problems at the moment.
2). Lack of effort. We are simply not getting into support positions fast enough especially in the final 3rd of the field which means that the strikers do not have much support and as a result they struggle. If you watched Arsenal, they attacked as a unit and defended as a unit. We definately did not do that today.
3). Lack of quality. We just didn't have anyone today that looked like they could make things happen. I don't fault the team selection of Rafa today becuase I like Zenden over Pennant. I am not sure about Gonzo over Garcia though. Rafa needs to stop buying decent players and start picking up players one by one that can really make a difference. Arsenal this summer did just that: Rosicky and Gallas are class. We picked up Jermaine FKING Pennant.

The opportunity is there around Christmas time to have an extended run of wins.

Laughable
Mock me if you wish mate but where are we. Just do a quick calucultion and based on how many away games weve won this year, where do you think we will be come the end of the season?
You said after 5 years we'd be in limbo.
My response was - laughable

I know, fickle whats f.ucking fickle anyway a new word fro SKY and Soccer am.
Them Liverpool players today are an embarressment of our clubs history.
Hugging f.uckin Henry whats that all about they are our rivals, we should have held their willys wilst they had a p.iss at half time aswell.
Talk about showing a team respect we where terrified of them.
It seemed that the whole team where watching Henry in awe.
I mean FFS Cmon these kunts are our rivals for 90 mins not our best bleedin mates.
Until we get a mean streak and start showing some f.uckin passion we wont be winning any league in my life time.
FUCKING SICK OF THIS TEAM LETTING US DOWN TIME AND TIME AND TIME OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
To many medeocre players brought in once again who quite frankly arnt good enough.
FUCK OFF LIVERPOOL

How many times do we see our fullbacks ahead of the play/ball?
We always seem to react to the pass rather than be moving in anticipation.
We're looking dis-jointed, not a team with a pattern just a group of individuals.
Hopefully this is the calm before the storm, it cant really get much worse-caned by The. ManUsa, The bitters an Bolton before half way in the season aint good, so chin up boys an girls!!

4). Tactics. If Rafa had studied the West Ham and Everton games he would have seen Arsenal really struggles to break defensive sides. Had we played 4-5-1 we might have looked a little more respectable.
Robbie Fowler needs to be playing right now as well.
