Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby red37 » Mon Nov 06, 2006 9:03 pm

it seems just as good a time as any to be discussing the inner most sanctum of just about anything as of late concerning the 'off-field' lives of our players, the club and its staff, if you are a journalist fighting for the tiniest amount of meaningless trivia in todays ocean of 'Gossiparama' - you appear to be suffering anything but a drought.

examples of 'exclusives' and 'shockers' doing the rounds over the globe at the moment:

1) Mo Sissoko gives someone a thick-ear..
2) Steve Gerrard's missus caught playing away
3) Crouchy cant get in his Go-kart..
4) Rafa spends everynight waiting for Ramon Calderon to pick up his phone..
5) Craig Bellamy is fed up..and
6) i can exclusively reveal to members of Newkit that, at approximately 18:00 hrs this evening. and on his way, one presumes, home from training.'Liverpool winger Mark Gonzalez was involved in an RTA'.  OMG!!!

he's fine-thankfully.

but seriously...wtf is going on with the scandalisation and the 'hype' of everything and anything even remotely related to the club. the 'daily mirror' got bored and succumbed to levels previously populated by the majority of the output from Rupert Murdochs infamous stable..over the Noel White saga. Sky television bombard the home with 24/7 garbage...ads/infomercials/repeats/dire programme choice/over-inflated ego's etc.. the litany of  'cheese' and 'contrition' is absolutely all over the place.

or is the internet just cool. and these stories/programmes are vital to the public domain. or, are you sick to the back teeth of living through one giant episode of 'eastenders' where it comes to the content and quality of debatable points on offer at all...do we need a warts and all policy...or am i really turning in another useless thread myself.

Your posts are normally sound... but it's back to the drawing board with this one.

The red-top papers have always been full of kak.

I'm probably going against the grain here, but I reckon most supporters and their teams feel vilified from the media over the course of the season. I dont think LFC are any different TBH, theres another thread complaining about BBC coverage, er hello how many times have we been live on Sky this season? Every other week there is some sort of thread around here complaining how hard done by the press we are, I think it should be water off a ducks back, infact it sounds like we're always the victims and some of our supporters just like the press have nothing to write about, and whinge instead.

) Rafa spends everynight waiting for Ramon Calderon to pick up his phone..

Do they say that? that's :censored:!!!

It's just envy.

When you have envy towards something or someone, you don't say a good word about him. It's only that they're reaching ridiculous levels of envy, like starting to count the league titles since 1992

A XIX century Spanish writer wrote "Do insult, that always remains something". That's the tactic they're using. Throwing tons of shít towards us, that even if it proves wrong it contributes to unsettle us.

The correct response is to ignore that cráp. But I'm afraid we don't do that completely, because when we have two bad games I see far too many doubters. Not talking here about respected mates that honestly comment what they think and watch in the game, but those who say sack Rafa, or Alonso isn't good enough, or Gerrard is way out of form.

Ignore the cráp.

We complain yet in other threads we say how John Terry sends texts to schoolgirls?

Every club has the same thing, from Essien dating a prostitute to Ashley Cole taking it up the coal mine. Ours are relatively nice compared to some stories we all hear.

some are true, some aint, people like to hear everything tho
