My thoughts exactly.

I didn’t think we would win the league 2 months ago and I don’t think we will win it now.

I thought we would be in the top 4 comfortably 2 months ago, 1 month ago and I still do.

and my thoughts exactly again. i'm still with coolhand as i thought the same as him, i dont think we'll win the league. Yes, i know, anything is possible, and we could win the next 12 games in a row, but as long as utd can do the same (which - lets face it, as much as i hate them, they have a chance of doing) We will always be a 11points off them due to our poor start to the season.

+1

Sum me up with this quote.

What we have to do is to work hard -as I am now :D - week by week, and then look where we are in march.

Agree with that statement.

Anyone remember some people saying Rafa should be sacked

yeh but united are well capable like ourself of messing up.we just need to beat them in anfield ,chelsea have them twice ,and they have arsenal again this season they can drop about 12 points there and ur probably saying ,that we will do the same but we cant and we need to go on a winning streak and eventually u will see us climbing the table

thats relying on other teams messing up and us not doing so.

of course we will move up the table, thats obvious. but lets not get ahead of ourselves... ie: if so-and-so lose, and we win then if whats-a-name lose aswell...bla bla.. you can do lots of different senarios...

the league table at this stage tells you nothing. hell - points wise - at the moment we are closer to the bottom of the prem than we are to the top!! 9 points separate us and charlton, whereas there is 11 between us and utd.

just concentrate on the next game.  look at the table in feb/march

If we keep up some sort of form anything is possible. Yesterday highlighted that Rafa said at the start of the season the top teams wouldnt win so many now that the smaller teams are much improved.

But as well as the big teams losing we have to  be able to pull out big wins away from home and so far weve failed those tests.

But on a postive note at least we have got Chelsea and Man U away done and dusted now.

Also the rotation could be our saving grace. Would I be out of line to suggest that Chelsea wernt as sharp yesterday becasue of their hard fought draw in the Nou Camp last week?

Same can be said of Man U losing to Copenhagen. Rafa is a clever man and im sure come the end of the season we will be singing his praises again.

Whether that includes the league, well i wont speculate but im sure we will improve on last season in one way or another.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Can we win the league?

Yes, as long as it's mathmatically possible we CAN win the league.

Will we win the league? is a completely different question.

Personally I think there's too many teams too far ahead of us for it to happen. One of the teams may drop a considerable number of points, but can you see all 3 doing it? Ok Arsenal I believe we can catch, and Sh!tski I think it's a possibility, but much as I hate to admit it I think Manure will get it this season. The only positive will be laughing at Maureen trying to tell us that it IS possible for the best team to come 2nd over 38 matches :D

NO! (unless you are asking whether it is mathamatically possible or you are referring to future seasons too :D )

3rd or 4th (Arsenal will be the other)

well thats a statement and a half!

infact, so do i

and i think chelsea will drop points

and i think barcelona will drop points this season

and i also think we will drop points

i would put a large sum of money on the fact that every single team in the football league will drop some points from now till the end of the season.

If we can sort out our away form, avoid injuries to key players and get some better performances out of our new players, we are in with shout. If we can also start beating the top sides in our home games we will win it.
