I dont think bellamy is.  One point though isI dont think strikers who like to play on the shoulder of the last man get much joy at Liverpool.  Our style under rafa doesnt suit a striker like that.

I have nothing against the man but to me he was more into what his hair looked like rather than putting a few away.

Cisse wasn't given a huge amount of opportunity but I do agree with others in this forum that I would have Cisse over Kuyt or Bellamy at the moment.  We have gone backwards from last season and at least Cisse/Morientes were big names that provided goals

Are you people serious or what?

Cisse better than Bellamy? What a f*cking joke.

I could go into the reasons why you're wrong, but what's the point? You won't listen.

You never do.

Now i kinda understand how some people have no idea. How can anyone bring up a point and say Cisse is better than Bellamy? ??? :O We have four strikers in Bellamy, Kuyt, Fowler and Crouch who :censored: all over Cisse in style and skill. I dont get it. Like the song sais "Watsa matta you"?

During the Pre-season of 2005/06 every Liverpool fan thought that at Last we have got a guy that can score 20 goals a season, but it didn't turn out to be. The problem with Cisse is that he needed to help the team in midfield situations but he didn't. What made it more worse for him is that he was played out of posistion.

wasted.  even when he played and made and made an impact rafa would never give him a run.  no doubt the kid has tons of ability just a shame it will be used elsewhere.

Bellamy is good at a side where he is the star.

To be honest, if you offered me the choice between Pennant and Cisse on the right, I would take Cisse. He is quicker and beats his man more often, gets a lot of dangerous balls in to the box, crossing is of similar standard and he is more of a goal threat.

that's like being offered a kick in the balls or a poke in the eye !

cissie no first second or third touch, not a right winger and not a lfc player soon.

pennant trying to hard at the moment looks like he never wants to lose the ball so plays it simple, which has lead him to have is head up his @rse at the moment , but he is not alone there

please don't ask for cissie back as i can't take the rage of seeing him play in red it was like watch salif d0gsh!t play

Cisse is :censored: all!!  Last thing we need is a selfish baby in the squad that starts crying to anyone who will listen when he isn't on the team sheet.  I hope he does well on his loan move so we can get a few more pounds for him.......

Cisse pilling on Rafa in the papers this week is the perfect example of why we don't want him.

So you dont like Owen? and your telling me Owen had no joy doing exactly that for a number of years at this club............

The point of the matter is, Cisse was a decent player in the wrong League playing in the wrong position with the wrong attitude.

He was one of the signings that i was really excited about then lost all interest in him when he started playing like a retard. He tried to make some sparks but not to much success really. We need to get him back where he belongs for his sake and ours. I hope Djibril can grab back his form from before LFC and get back into the France squad as i believe he is a good European player. The EPL was too big for him.

Some stupid statements on this thread but its to be expected from resident Cisse @rse kisser puroreso.
Cisse better than Bellamy ?
Better at what ?
Bellamy hasnt set the world on fire....YET, but he has far more ability than Cisse and is a team player with a desire to win.
Bellamy may be slightly slower, although thats debateable, but he chases lost causes all day long putting pressure on the opposition back four, something Cisse didnt do.
He can shoot with both feet, something Cisse couldnt.
And cares more about the team, than himself.
Not only was Cisse a poor player, he was selfish and has criticised the manager making it impossible for him to come back.
Kuyt who someone else has compared him with also has worked harder in the first couple of months than Cisse ever did, he also has a far better touch and is decent in the air, can take the ball in to feet shielding it and bring others into play.
Every one of out strikers is different class compared to the whinging frenchman.

Get over the fact that he's gone.

Pongolle has looked great btw, looks really sharp and is scoring goals, i doubt rafa will have him back either though as from his interview the other day he was stating that he wants to be first choice, thats unlikely at Liverpool.

To compare Cisse to Bellamy in any way shape or form is palpably ridiculous. Bellamy is a really good player and I'm frankly amazed at how quickly fans have been prepared to throw the towel in with both him and Pennant.

Had we have signed Jamie Carragher in the summer for say 10 million quid, those same people would now be saying "what a load of sh!te" based on what they have seen so far. Because though we have seen him play well in a red shirt before, it's cool. Well, we have seen Bellamy and Pennant play well before in blue shirts so that's cool by me too. If we were playing well and they were sh!te (which Cisse was last season) then it would be a problem. Alas, we aren't and it isn't.

I don't think we have had a good striker since Owen left.

Crouch can do a job but hardly great, Kuyt I don't really rate, Fowler is a bit part player these days, Bellamy isn't really a goalscorer.

I remember Ian Rush when I was a kid and then a young Robbie came along and then Owen came along - maybe I was just spoiled. None of today's LFC strikers come close.
