Sorry for the short post was really excited when I got it last night. Feeling the shift I done on it last night into the wee hours now.
I bought an 360 just for this game a while ago as I want to play the next gen version of the greatest football game. So I dont know about the PS2 version:
The Positives
- Gameplay feels a lot better, the headers are all contested, instead of one play standing there, the passing is a lot better and you have to think about your passers.
- The niggly fouls have gone, and the game plays a lot smooth, more Henry than Ruddock!
- Got rid of annoying faults such as your play stepping over the ball by the line and it going out, players are less likely to stand offside as well.
Also the likes of Hypia cannot catch Henry when Henry goes past him, opposed to PES5 where Hypia would turn into superman and beat Hnery for pace.
- New hook tackles dont always result in a foul and look a lot better.
- Linesman added and look class!!
- Overall next gen graphics are superb.
The Negatives
- Lack of game modes - NO EDITOR !! - Editor is on PS2 version but not on XBOX 360 whats that about!?!!? Also the PS2 has more options of gameplay, random teams etc
- Same old Merseyside Red bollox even worse now you cannot edit it!
- Cannot save replays on XBOX 360 but can on PS2.
There are major minus, but the gameplay is superb!!
