100% with you on this as i said yesterday, i couldnt believe some of the posts saying sack raffa sell alonso, get rid of gerard and the same people will probably be on here come next may saying...king raffa, gerard back to his best etc.....

if you call yourself a liverpool fan, well start acting like one and get behind your team, there is a long long way to go...

We are experiencing some bad times right now but we must fully back the manager in whatever respect. Although we all have shared opinions on the rotation policy we have to remember so far what he has contributed in the shot time he has been here. That cannot possibly we overwhelmed by a bad start to the season.

11 points is not impossible to overcome but at the same time I never backed us to lift the title this year. I simply wanted us to improve on last season again finishing in the top 3 and perhaps even having an extended run into the knockout stages of Europe. Both those things are still possible but we need to be patient and stand by our manager.

Thats not funny. A team like Liverrpool should never be anywhere near the relagtion zone, considering the talent we have on offfer.

At least we are scoring goals from corner (ie.....against Bburn & Bor)  :p

So what we need to do for the next 29 games is to not concede any goals and then score from a corner in the 89 minute..........

yeah im really confident, i think we will go the rest of the season unbeaten and score 10 in each game, @rse, manue and chavski wont win again all season leaving it open for us to win the league, champions league, FA cup and league cup, we will also win a few raffles and the lottery every week. then we can all look back and laugh at our start to the season and intimate that rafa is such a tactical genius he planned this start all along to lure the oposition into a false sense of security.

Nobody is denying you the right to express what you think.

A mate is requesting the support of the fans and some confidence and that's right IMO. It would be funny to read the "sell Alonso" cráp and not being able to post some support for our players and coach.

Like a few have already said, the majority on here while being very p!ssed off and even slightly disallusioned at the moment are right behind the players and manager still.
The odd person has come out with ridiculous statements like sell Alonso, Gerrard or sack the manager, but the majority are still right behind everyone and realise that things will change soon.
It is ironic though that someone with the name redsince2001 should be criticising people, who have been doing what he is asking for, for years on end.  :D

So its time to seperate the glory hunters from the true liverpool fans...its easy to be a supportive  when ur team has just won the greatest prize in club football and the oldest english club competition back to back....but its during times like these dat we need to show why we are the greatest club in the world........

Instead of whinning,crying,abusing,..............lets give the players and Rafa our support till the end of the season......I know Rafa's gettin things wrong atm and the players look like they hav had their balls cut....    but  we can get thru this and emerge stronger then ever........

the dreams shall never die."

PEOPLE AGREEING WITH ME AND WILLING TO TAKE A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN RAFA AND THE PLAYERS REPLY ....OTHERS  DONT  SPOIL IT!!!!!

LETS SEE HOW MANY TRUE FANS WE GOT IN HERE!!! N REMEMBER ITS A VOTE....REPLY ONLY ONCE!

I personally think that we've had good reason to criticise the team in the last couple of weeks, but i can understand your reasons for posting this thread, i think the way that some 'fans' on here were calling for rafa's head after sunday, even calling for the sale of Alonso. There's nothing at all constructive about comments like that.

I'll support liverpool till the day i die - and i think that before that happens, i will see Rafael Benitez lead the mighty reds to a 19th league title.

Plus, who's to say that we cant go on an unbeaten run till the end of the season? i dont think its unreasonable to think that Utd, Arsenal & Chelsea could lose four games a piece. I reckon it'll be a lot closer that a lot of people think come May. (need to start that run soon though!!!!)

do you think i will support the club even more because someone asks me to, its not possible for me to give any more support, i love the club.
i agree its not right to ask for rafas head on a plate or to sell alonso, but if someone mentions it and give a reason why the think these things should happen then that should be respected also.

the point i am trying to raise is i dont need some young whippersnapper telling me how to support the club i have been supporting for 39 years, i was born a red and will die a red and my support will never waiver, but its wrong to come out with rubbish like only real supporters dont complain. i have to admit i have having trouble being confident, i have worried since day one of the season and my posts will prove that, and sadly i havent really seen anything since to give me confidence that we can achieve the holy grail.

That you are a true red, is out of question. I would never doubt that.

Being critic is good as well, for instance Big mick has written several threads explaining correctly what he doesn't like about the team. So you have, I'm OK with that and I read those post with interest. Sometimes I agree, sometimes not that much.

It's true that you don't need being told to be a supporter. But emotions around a football team are tickle (in the sense of quickly changing), score dependant, and sometimes it's nice to hear  a voice that says he believes in the team.

My point is that you have the right and I like your opinions. I find Ok you're worried. I'm slightly dissapointed, but not worried. We do not HAVE to think the same :). I won't say you're a bad supporter if you say your worries, firstly because I don't have the right to say that, and secondly because I don't think so. I'm just saying some cheering up doesn't harm.

I'm not worried because I think the squad is stronger than yesteryear, and even stronger than 2 years ago.

I'm not worried because I admit we're on a bad form, that there are troubles, that there seem indeed to be problems with overrotation, yet I think those can be sorted out. I think that bad patches of results happen in every team. Teams that now seem doubtful like Barcelona, will be steaming and working in March. This things happen.

I'm confident with Rafa because he has two titles in his pocket, and has brought LFC to the Champions league (let alone winning it) where as in the nineties I was the just poor :censored: in the uni that supported Liverpool before Manchester United, as this was the dominant team in that years. LFC wasn't at his best in those years, and this man has brought the team near it's true place.

In a nutshell,

I'm not a born red. I'm a red since I fell in love with John Aldridge. That's 1989 or something. I've got the outmost respect to you. You're a true fan. I'm just saying some cheering up and realising where we are and where we have been doesn't harm. And it seems to be that in October 2006, we're closer to the LFC of the eighties, the mighty reds, rather than a poorer LFC that we had not that much ago.

The mere fact that we're dissapointed because we seem to be far in the TITLE race, says how much we have advanced.

the vast majority of the members in here are beyond question pi55ed off to say the least with the team at the moment. and its bad enough dealing with all that cr@p...to find somebody questioning my (our) allegiance over the internet ffs.

i never criticise anybody...im not even having a pop at the starter..it just seems daft, its like sticking your hand up in class and asking if its OK to have an opinion. like peewee, ive supported this club for over 30 years and no body will tell me what to say when it comes down to being honest. loyalty affords me that priviledge. and ill open me gob just as much whether its win lose or draw.

forget the wind ups and nobheads....95% in here need no reminding about whether they are true reds.

:bowdown

Thats what football forums for....opinions.

The thing is each of us support this club in our own way and it doesn't make us less of a supporter when we do question when things are not right.

BTW, i have been supporting this club since 1983 (when i was 5 years old). Literally my dad "forced" me to watch the reds play whenever they were on TV.  :D And now, i am a bigger fan than him......

So, I have supported this club through the great Fagan & Dalgish Era (although i can't really remember much during Fagan's time), the horrible Souness era (We won the FA cup), not so horrible Evans Era (where we dominated the whole match and end up losing - won the league cup), Good Houllier era (we won the treble and a league cup during his time) and currently the Good Rafa era (champions league and FA cup).

I would be   if anybody questions my loyalty to this club because i questioned rafa's tactics.

Nuff said.

All i did was ask u people to show your support to rafa and the team........who the f.uck is questioning your loyalty? ???

constructive criticism and 'moaning' is one thing ....but asking for some players to be shipped out come january and the  manager to be sacked when we are goin thru a rough patch doesnt seem in any way "constructive " to me.....the same player who has scored some wonder goals and won us matches on another day and the same manager who has won us the CL and the FA cup in back to back seasons........

All i'm asking for is patience and faith in the players and the manager....
