Everything you say hobo is about mobile and static. We have seen Risse over the years. He has always delivered. He hasnt hit it off with Gonzales yet (who cant get back and is a little laszy in the defence department) but to say Evra is better..... i just dunno what to say

Our season starts here imo. Today will give our players a kick up the ar.se and more importantly, rafa a kick up the ar.se. From now on our best team has to be played every game with a back four of Finnan, Carra, Hyypia and Riise and a midfield of Gerrard on the right with Alonso and Sissoko in the middle. Whoever is available can play on the left until Kewell comes back as Aurelio, Gonzales and Garcia are all as shi.t as eachother. Up front Kuyt and Bellamy must start every game.

We won't win the prem this year for sure but if we get a good run going I think we've got a great chance in the CL or FA cup

Alonso is too deep for me.  He needs to be playing passes further forward.  I would say his better than Carrick.  However the true king is Fabregas.  His amazing!!!

hehe... i remember people saying that after the bluenose game... not alot has changed since then!

oh, and i have to disagree with belamy-kuyt partnership. getting a regular partnership is important imo, but crouch has scored more goals this season than those two put together. Surely he has to start. What more can a player do?? ???

Top Scorers:

Today was just a very bad day passing wise more than anything else. We gave away possession way to easy especially in the middle of the park. The players, Alonso and Sissoko, that we expected to set the foundation for a win were very poor, they got caught in possession way to often and when they did distribute they still lost the ball. There was no cohesion in the passing today.

After the game with Everton, we were still very much in the title race, However now we are very much out of the title race. Im sure Rafa will realise thing have to change after he has managed to ruined our season in just two months

Carra is bvetter than rio. Risse is far better than evra will ever be and finnan has been one of the best right backs in the prem. You must be on a wind up mate..anyone else agree or am i going mad?

alonso and carrick are soo similar

both great passers, but dont seem that creative

both are static and imobile

Alonso vs carrick = a draw? wtf was that?
Carrick = 18 million piece of :censored:. I rate scott parker more than him.
Oh my God... :no
...and dawson..you're not mad...you're totally right!  :nod

did anyone else see the wayne rooney interview on skysports before the kick off? ...when asked what ferguson has said to him prior to this match, he said "he's just told me to go out there and enjoy myself."

...stark contast to rafa putting gerrard on the right then the left then the right etc etc etc

there is no passion and rafa either needs to drop his molecular physics approach or step down BEFORE january.

...as much as i dont think gonzalez is ever going to be the best left winger in the world, i wouldnt go as far as saying our players are not good enough (bar pennant), we just need a FRESH APPROACH to get the best out of the players (ie. 'new manager' turning traore and biscan into world beaters - where's that genius man-manager when we need him most?)

rafa is definately turning into a houllier mk2 (alarmingly quickly may i add) ...but to be honest ALL good managers are stubborn and it's all good when your team is winning. however, we're not winning so SORT IT OUT RAFA U :censored::angry:
we've only won it 5 times

It seems when came here he had a problem and had set boundries.. i.e. no much transfer money and to many players either doing FA or on loan somewhere... Anyway, because he was given a had a problem to solove, and was restricted to what can do..

But, when he has the money spend, and solove his problem.. i.e. sell the dead wood and buy 5 new players in the summer.. he has now got a problem of his own doing that he has to fix... but before he was given a problem to figure out.. Make sense??

Look Risse's goal against Chelsea in the Community Sheid.. you don't get much more mobile than thatt ffs..

you clueless ****

watch that goal again, he doesnt beat anyone

chelsea back off and back off, riise runs about 60 yards without beating anyone then shoots (which is certainly something he can do)

this goal was in a friendly

riise isnt mobile enough as an attacking left back

end of

No need for personal insults mate, it wasn't the best example ok, but i still don't agree about Evra being better than Risse... he play left wing in the run in to 2004-05 CL victory, so he is mobile in my book. U don't agree with me, i respect your opinion.

Postby The Manhattan Project » Sun Oct 22, 2006 8:53 pm

Very disappointing performance.

Manhattan got worried when he saw the 4-5-1 formation as I felt we needed to be more positive and attacking. I had a feeling that this formation would lead to Liverpool backing off and enduring one Man United attack after another. Eventually they'd find a way through.

A few observations. Sissoko takes a little too long for my liking to pass the ball. Garcia tries too many flicks and backheels. They almost never result in anything. Hyypia had some poor clearances along the ground that went straight to the opposition and we gave away possession all too easily.

No one was marking Scholes when he scored and it was criminal to allow Rio to turn and shoot. We need to pick things up very quickly. I never believed we would win the title, but if improvements don't come imminently even the 4th place may prove to be beyond us. LFC need to click into gear soon.
