I think hes a great footballer and thats what I will concentrate on from now on.

I know exactly what you mean Saint. He comes across as a very arrogant player. I know top players need confidence in themselves, but he seems to know Liverpool revolves around him. I actually thought that off him before I read his book though because of a another find in a magazine not many of you will read.
It was my birds copy of "More" a few years ago and Jennifer Ellison was in it. As you may well know Steven Gerrard went out with her for a bit and in her interview she talks about going out with a footballer in the past and he was "so into himself" and used to tell her "  your going out with a football player " and stuff like that. She didn't mention Gerrard but it was not hard to put two and two together.
I found some of his stories rather selfish in the book and the quote about Didi was a big no-no. I wondered how he could train with him everyday and not apologise for 5 years.

Gerrard the footballer, I love.

Gerrard the man, I aint so sure.

We only need to concern ourselves with the footballer here.

For some reason, this comment coupled with the Gerrard pick in your sig, mate, makes me laugh.  Stevie looks well p!ssed off in your sig!  :D

You havent got a bird lad so stop trying to pretend you have.

:D

I agree that Stevie seems like a bit of a moody c'nt at times but am not listening to some former Brookside nomarks opinion on our skipper.

She might be fit as f'ck, but she's a nobody now, little sl@g !

Just read this autobiography last night. I found it interesting and some of the main oints that occurred to me are below.

1. Gerrard's love of Liverpool FC and the city is very real.

2. He has a cool relationship with RF...I was disappointed that he didn't refer to Robbie's problems with Ged, nor his surprise off loading to Leeds.

3. He's a stubborn and uncommunicative b@gger who always seems to think that everyone else should read his mind. Revealing are the accounts of his spat with Houllier after losing his form when his parents were breaking up (something he never told GH) and the contractual mess that he made for himself by not telling the club his demands.

4. In spite of a little wounded pride, SG obviously rates Rafa very highly as a coach. He goes into some detail about Rafa's tactical acumen and his important half time contributions.

I would thoroughly recommend it as an interesting insight--but inevitably, the second half is still to be written.
