Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Why rest gerrard is momo is injured though? Rafa seems to have a lot more faith zenden in midfield than i do.

i got a feeling garcia will play a big part tonight as well. Our spanish contingent are going to make us proud in just a few hours time!!!

I think Rafa's faith in Bolo is justified. I know the lad might not have many fans on here, but he can play good football. For Middlesborough he was brilliant in the middle and I was glad when we signed him up. He got injured last year so we cannot blame him for that, but I feel a few more Liverpool fans should give the guy a chance.
When he plays on the left wing, he does look average at best and I don't think he is cut out for that roll. However when you put him in the middle, he looks a lot classier and is a lot more effective with the ball.

I think he just needs time on the ball and I am sure he will get that tonight in Europe. Against Chelsea in the Community Shield, he played out of his skin and looked very very good. This was because the Chelsea midfielders gave him time on the ball, to look up and decide what he wanted to do. He even megged Ballack  :Oo:

Against Sheffield Utd, a few weeks later, he started in the middle but the way the EPL is and the way Sheffield played, trying to pressure us, contain us, jump in at us the moment we had possession, Zenden could not play his normal game and looked poor.

I think in big matches and European matches in particular Bolo is the right man for the job, I aint saying he will move Momo or Steven out of the team but he won't let us down. When he has time and space he has a big influence on the game and I expect a fine performance from our flying dutchman today.

Gerrard does have a very slight hamstring injury!
Raffa said if it was the last game of the season he would have played...obviously its not and we have the scum on Sunday, its not worth the risk.

Anyway i have faith in the players we have, not to sound disrespectful but it is Bordeaux we're playing.Hardly a side full of world class talent.Im sure we'll have the resources to beat them tonight.
May sound silly here but im actually going to find it very interesting how the team play without Gerrard tonight.

COME ON THE RED MEN :buttrock  :bowdown

Cant wait for the game now, i tell you not its been hard trying to get some kip today.

I can see Garcia getting a goal tonight, its going to be close though casue these arent no mugs and just the thought off playing Liverpool the grreatest team in the world is goign to spurn them on even more.

2-1 garcia first goal.

You actually believe that Rafa gives a f'ck what the papers say ?
If Gerrard was rested our manager is that stubborn he would just tell the truth imo, he's done it plenty of times before and doesnt seem to care if the press give him stick.
I genuinely believe he has a slight injury.
Although i'll go along with you on the scorer, i'm putting a few quid on Luis as well.

I do yes mate.

Cause there are fickle supporters who count on papers for the views. I know and ive been told by people who know that Rafa has said in the past that players are injured when they havent been.

zenden in the cm ? im not so happy about that. Luis garcia either plays fantastic or absoulte cr@p i hope it isnt cr@p because wide right is a very crucial poition to be strong. Glad to see Gonzales in the starting 11 i think he is a great player and good to see crouch starting. Come on you reds 3-0 Crouch Bellamy Alonso
