from bbc, sorry if this is posted eldewhere but i havent seen it on the forum

Everton and Liverpool have been charged by the Football Association with failing to control their players after a reserve match on 10 October.

It relates to a melee involving players from both sides after Liverpool keeper Jerzy Dudek was sent off for his reaction to Victor Anichebe's tackle.

The FA issued the charge after reviewing a video of Everton's 2-1 win.

As well as both clubs, Dudek has been charged with improper conduct for not leaving the field of play promptly.

That could potentially leave the Reds short of goalkeeping cover, as Dudek is facing a possible five-match ban.

The 33-year-old Pole was initially facing a three-match ban for violent conduct, but the new charge could mean that is increased by two matches.

The sending off came after a challenge on Dudek by Everton youngster Victor Anichebe.

Liverpool's Scott Carson and Chris Kirkland, both England squad goalkeepers, are out on loan with Charlton and West Brom respectively and cannot be recalled until January at the earliest.

Dudek's ban could leave Liverpool with youth team goalkeeper David Martin - son of former West Ham defender Alvin Martin - as the only cover for first-choice Jose Reina.

With Everton having a suspended FA sentence hanging over them for a first-team incident against Middlesbrough, they could be fined about £20,000.

Liverpool could be fined around £10,000.

"We have been charged with a breach of FA rule E20, which is failure to control our players," said Everton club secretary David Harrison.

"We have until 1 November to reply and we also have the opportunity to request a personal hearing before the commission, should we wish to do so."

not worried about the fine... £10'000 is what we pay HK to be injured for 2 days.

5 games without a strong reserve keeper is a bit more worrying. I've never seen david martin in action, but i'm gonna be praying reina stays fit and avoids any cards

Unlucky Dudek lets just hope Reina keeps his nose clean. (Had it have been a certain other team the keeper would probably have got a 3 match ban.)

Liverpool Reserves suffered a double blow on Thursday night when they lost 3-2 to Middlesbrough and saw goalkeeper David Martin leave the field after an hour with a hip injury.
The England youth international was caught by a high challenge when he came outside his area to win the ball, and unfortunately after treatment he couldn't continue. Besides picking up a hip injury Martin also had slight concussion. One of last season's FA Youth Cup heroes goalkeeper David Roberts replaced Martin.
--------------------------------

so our current keeper situation looks like this:

1. Reina - fit
2. dudek - suspended
3. carsen - out on loan
4. kirkland - out on loan
5. martin - injured
6. Roberts  - 18 year old who got promoted from our Academy this summer

so our backup to reina will be our... 6TH choice keeper!

If anything did happen to Reina, surely we'd have to recall Carson or Kirkland, and we could re-loan them out in Jan.

As long as Reina doesn’t get injured or sent off in the next few games its not a problem, you get legislate for every situation, I think we have enough keeping options.

How much you betting the scum try to goad Pepe into a reaction on Sunday, the sweaty man-whore ball rashes?

Keep your head down Reina - don't let that fat f*cker get to you. (And if he does, lay the rotund b*stard out with a spectacular uppercut to one of his chins.)

B*stards.
