Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby stmichael » Tue Oct 17, 2006 12:07 pm

here is five live's full coverage of istanbul. it may be quite a while ago now, but as a liverpool fan you can never get tired of listening to these again. personally for me, mike ingham's commentary of the smicer goal is one of my favourite pieces of football commentary of all time.

out of all the footage from that unforgettable night. the build-up the game itself, the parade after. one single documentary called "one night in may" is to me the perfect thing to encapsulate the essence of the whole event - something ive done about 30 times since i managed to get hold of it! pure drama you could not invent.

but undeniably, my two lads (and the as yet unborn third) will and DO get roped in to each and every viewing of anything there is to celebrate about our Football team, heck my youngest, Nathan isnt 2 and a half and he knows Every name of the first team. :)  i suppose you could call it brainwashing! but even so, magical memories like Istanbul are to be celebrated with both pride and frequent regularity  :bowdown

thanks for putting them up.

Timeless.

People will watch and listen to those clips in 100 years and they'll STILL send shivers down their spines. :)
