I went to see my cancer surgeon this afternoon and all in all things are looking better than  I expected. The last time I saw Dr Brunt he was telling me in April I had 6-12 months to live.I have lived the first 6 months of his prognosis,so you can imagine how nervous I was today.

I have been suffering lately with all kinds of symptoms and cant remember the last time when normal felt normal.Pain has been relentless and emotionally at times I’ve been a wreck.I was checked over and after doing many tests it looks like I’m winning. All the swelling in my brain has gone and all these new symptoms I’m suffering with are purely
Because of all the medications I’m on.

The fighting I’ve done looks to be working and the prognosis of 6-12 months is looking wrong. They admit the brain cancer will never leave me and will kill me one day,but “one day” could be years,I have to carry on fighting and working towards getting some mobility back,so I can walk again.and work towards a normal life possible.

I’ve asked for a scan to be done as they don’t seem overconcerned about doing one,but I firmly believe in taking the  lid off something instead of guessing whats inside. It will be done in about a month for my piece of mind, they are already confident.

Finally I go in on Wednesday and Thursday for an operation on my teeth and gums so wish me luck…

Glad you're alright, Phil, and that the op went ok.
Are the stitches the ones that dissolve or does that sound daft?
Only, I was in a car crash as a child ('suppose that explains a lot :D), and I had a couple of those stitches in my head.

Anyways, hope it isn't too uncomfortable for you.

The strawberry mousse sounds lovely, btw.    :)

Ohh, yeah, that can hurt! If you get an infection from having a tooth out, it's not nice.

Can they give you antibiotics for it, Phil?
Hope it clears up soon.

And I think you can still get some tasty food, even if it is smooth.  :)

you think i'm joking      :D

you try eating lamb chops. roast potatoes.cabbage.carrotts and mash followed by apple crumble and custard.Kicking the shít out of it and calling it lamb sloppy  slop and then spending 4 hours with a ribena straw eating it,is the only way to go

THE NHS DECIDE TO P1SS ME ABOUT AGAIN.

Today was the day it was decided to have two more malignant melenomas (cancers)removed by surgery.Ambulance with stretcher on board booked weeks ago and my appointment time was 12oclock ward 105.
12oclock comes and goes and so does 1oclock.An Ambulance arrives at 2.15pm but has no stetcher and wont fit me and my wheelhair on.The paramedics contact the hospital and try to arrange another,,,,,,NO LUCK.i have to wait for a phonecall.Anyway my cancer surgeons secretary rings and says it will all get rearranged for a couple of weeks again……………..

How many times are they allowed to p1ss you about.
