Which lfc players would you keep? - In the summer cleaerout.......

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Hi, just wondering which players we ought to keep on merit, judging by last seasons performances ,and which have to go based on their not meeting expectations?

Id Keep.
* Dudek
*Henchoz
*Carragher
*Gerrard
*Kewell
*Owen
*Baros
*Pongolle

Id definately keep those players as the "core" of the squad, and would let go or put out on loan (if oyu could find someone who wants them!): Murphy,Diouf,Smicer, Le Tallec, Finnan, Hamaan, (i was gonna say heskey but!).

I know ill probably get slated for hamaan and finnan, but hamman is very defensive, and finnan is not a world beater. thats just my opinion.
Then we need to add some quality to the core.

What do you lot think.

Are you having a laff about Finnan, are you sure you are Liverpool fan, cos most of Liverpool fans...they would give him another chance after his's 1st tough season, I think you are being harsh about Finnan, he is good player but just give him a chance.

Also, you are being harsh about Le Tallec, he is young decent player and will be become very good player in the future. I would keep Danny Murphy as squad player, he's hard working player and NEVER missed the penalties for Liverpool, I think!!!!

You didn't get say anything about Chris Kirkland!!!!!!!

So we have 2 defenders, 2 midfielders and 3 strikers.

So we'd need to bring in 6 defenders, 6 midfielders and a striker.

You also suggest selling Hamann and Hyypia who are two of Liverpools best players. Also see the spelling of Hamann.

You're clueless mate. Sorry, but thats the truth.

you reckon Henchoz and Kewell have a great season and met expectations? Are we watching the same players and the same team? How you justify keeping Henchoz but not Hyppia is beyond me.

I know ill probably get slated for hamaan and finnan, but hamman is very defensive, and finnan is not a world beater. thats just my opinion.

so you'll suggest we start with 11 world beaters then? Hmmm...good idea. I suggest you start introducing your "Roman Abramovic" to Rick Parry. And you are damn right you will be slated for making such a post.  :D

Listen I didnt ask for brainless replies. Do your moaning to your B*tch's at home!
That was just a 'general' idea, i didnt mean fire the whole squad literally, and replacing them would not be hard at all. and i accidently missed hypia off the list.

Danny murphy works hard? do me a favour! do you watch many matches? im a better player than him, and thats not a joke!

As for mr Abramovich taking over for cash to build a team, arent we about to recieve 60/ 70 million?

And if you are all so bloody wise, and know so much about football, then why arent YOU running the club then? Stu, you talk as though you think you can!

If your not gonna say anything constructive then keep yer mouths shut!

Stan Laurel I agree with the Hustler. Murphy is as hard working as I am when I go on vacation in Spain. In one single year he is payed as much as most of the guys on this forum earn in a lifetime. It is simple enough, he doesn't deserve that. And he certainly does not deserve to put on the red jersey next year. And penalties? Do me a favor. 9 out of 10 players convert 80-90 % of spot kicks.

You're a better player than Danny Murphy? Lol.

Murphy is also  lazy player? One thing Murphy isn't is lazy. He always tracks his man, gets back into position, chases the ball and never hides even when he's having a bad game.

Hustler, my point is your the one claiming to be so wise and saying what we should do so why aren't you running the club? I agree with the men who do run the club most of the time. The point is the squad doesn't need a revamp. It needs about three or 4 top class additions then its in excellent shape.

As for the last line of your post.... pot calling the kettle black.

You ain't better than Danny Murphy!!! Just think about it before you say!!!

I did not claim I know so much about football to be Liverpool's manager, I follow and am only passionate about my team...Liverpool. You OTOH claimed to be a better player than Murphy, so why the 'ell you're not playing for Liverpool then? Answer or shut the fu-ck up!

As for mr Abramovich taking over for cash to build a team, arent we about to recieve 60/ 70 million?

I suggest you don't hold your breath. My friends in Thailand have told me Thaksin have got cold feet, and unless another tycoon is to step in, we will get fu-ck all!

Well I don't think Danny is that bad, but he is not very good either, just average. Will never be fantastic. He's never hardworking.Though he plays good short passes, who can't! Its optional choice whether he stays or not.
As for Hustler, if you can only play better than Danny, I wouldn't want you in my team. How good you are, let the rest see,not something you call out for.I am a football player as well. I am only interested if you are better than Diego Maradona.

danny murphy is only one of several players at the moment who are only average. its one of the main reasons why we have become an average club.would the likes of gerrard and owen want to possibly leave if the team had a few more stars:) :) :)

These replies get sillier by the minute!

Why arent I playng for Liverpool? Its all down to an incredible amount of LUCK! not everyone can get the chance, but his dad must drink with tommo or something, thats the only way i can see him getting in the squad.Give me a liveprool shirt anyday of the week and ill come out of the stands and show him how to play.

are you saying danny murphy is a world beater or something? HEE HEE this guy cant even hold his own d**k, never mind possession of the ball.

Facts about murphy: he cant pass as most of his passes go to the opposition, hes very slow, he tracks his man but is  100 yards behind him, he bottles out of challenges, he has no creative ability, and he's been at anfield for at least 7 years and we havent looked like a championship winning team with him in the side and never will!
hei s so average. Also, he'd never get in the chelsea, arsenal or Utd teams.
when he leaves liverpool (sooner the better) he'll be going to division 3 where he belongs.

Houllier, and heskey gone... now time for murphy.

anyone disagreeing with this is brain dead
