. The norm on here when we reach the big 1000 is to dedicate it to the 96 Hillsborough victims who were cruelly taken away from their families and this great club of ours 17 years ago. This thread is dedicated to them and their families but this weekend marking the 25th anniversary of the death of the legend that was and still Bill Shankly I'd like to also dedicate this post to him. It seems hard to imagine that one man can influence a team and so many fans the world over like Shanks did. He took over a mediocre side languishing in the second division and grabbed it by the scruff of it's neck and dragged it to Glory.
Thank you SHANKS you may be gone but you definately made the people happy and by god you'll never be forgotten by them for doing what you did.
