As Daxy has described here, Birkenhead is full of people who would stab you . I admit I did used to be a little :censored: when I was 15 -  18 years of age. I went through that stage when you want to fight everyone. I am not proud of the things I have done, ashamed actually when I look back. As Lady Luck would have it, I moved out of my old area and got my own house off my grandad, met a bird and settled down.

I stopped hanging round with the old crowd and only kept my close unit of 3 best mates. Since then I have met new friends and go out with them. I have more fun now than I ever did, being a :censored: on the street.

I had a few scraps, but the lads I used to hang around with would pick fights for nothing, I remember one night in Wigan, about 20 of us  went that Wigan Pier club, had a cracking night and then outside waiting for the mini bus , about 10 of our lads jumped 3 lads FFS. Scenes like that weren't uncommon. It was fecking bang out of order. Of course I enjoyed hanging round with them but I was on a slippery slope.

Another few lads I know got stabbed outside Rocky's one night about a year ago. One stabbed in the chest, one in the neck and one in the face. One was very servere and was in Intensive care. Thats just not the life I want now.

Occasionally in Birkenhead on a night out, I will get some little :censored:, recognising me and kickin off, but I would much rather get out and go home than end up with a bottle in me.

amen! brother! my hospital record is being stabbed three times one in the chest very close to my heart another on my left side about a three inch wide scar it was by a throwing knife but he didnt throw it he just stabbed me with it that case went to court but because when he stabbed me i got me hands on him and nearly killed the mongie steghead in court i nearly got sent down for what i did to him perhaps he should of threw it instead of keepin hold and gettin to close.the third time was in the arm not too bad just scars. like RaffaDodd said i was a bad bugger when i was young aswell i used to get drunk and fight anyone for hardly any reason at all so i gave up the beer when i went out and just have a few when im at home.my other hospital visits was when i was run over accidentally on purpose but we will take that as a knock for knock when i greet them one day thats about it really i also got a stupid criminal record for intimidation of witneses and nearly got seven years i think that was what really calmed me down the thought of missing the wife and kid's

I miss the days when I had a fight, I used to lose most of them, but it built up my punishment levels.

Yer but you live in Thocky Lar, even I sh.it meself driving thru there :Oo:

i never thought toxteth was that bad, walked back from town p*ssed up plenty of times down princes road (gave upper parliament st. a big swerve :D ) and never got a hint of trouble. i think it's the kind of place where you're not that likely to find trouble unless you're looking for it. everybody over here reckons toxteth's some kind of no-go zone, whereas in reality it's like the f*ckin french riviera compared to salford, longsight, moss side, cheetham hill etc

the places where i see most trouble are wherever there's p1ssheads, lads with a bellyfull of ale are just aggro waiting to happen whether you're in toxteth or timbuktoo. only fight i ever had in liverpool was with some posh kid outside kascades in mossley hill (anyone remember that place? )

I remember it well, with the pool tables downstairs.

Didn't that :censored: Derek Hatton own it? Or the gymn it became after?

By the way, have never got into aggro when out cos I know I'm not hard and i don't act it when I've had a pint.

I hate the people who act hard just cos they're bevvied - theyd never be like that sober.

It doesnt matter what size you are in Belfast, or who you know or even the size of yer weapon...if ya cross the wrong person youll either end up getting the lid lifted off ya or skipped.
My old man used to tell me before I went out-Keep yer tongue in yer cheek and youll be alright...it doesnt work like that anymore sadly.

i suggest that anyone who gets mugged and gets the better of them to take everything you can off them so they can see what it feels like.

when i was in the police i obviously got  into a few scraps, i am very lucky to never have had a good pasting, i  must be harder than i think   :D
