We have just :censored: 2 points away against a very average PSV side.  We have paid too many times for a lack of ambition, I hope it doesn't cost us later on in the competition.  What is wrong with getting ourselves into a good position and then bringing the big guns off?  If we are unable to do that then we are not good enough to rest our better players.

Pennant looked poor second half. He doesnt seem to know how to pass a ball at the right pace and was caught a few times dawdling on the ball. Best I  have seen from Alonso this season, hopefully back to hs best soon.

Pennant is absolutely :censored:, i would rather have luis taking his place anytime. all of a sudden, he's in the middle of the field not out right making things so compact there. He loses ball whenever he have it, no creativity no flair at all. Now i know why no one buys him even if he's Birmingham's best player.
I am gobsmacked that we spend quite a fee for him. Even Aurelio performs better than him.

I might be too harsh though =/ i guess its the problem of us now gelled yet. Wonder why rafa brings out Bellamy stupid decision, i thought Pennant will be subbed instead :O Judging from the lineup Benitez is trying to get a clean sheet to build confidence from that. Kuyt and Bellamy looks good and full praises for Bellamy, he deserves a goal.

Zenden's a very poor central mid, i hope this is the last time we see him play there.

Well we end 0-0

A good result I think. A clean sheet will inspire confidence in the defence. Reina did look a bit flappy at times but otherwise no problems. We nearly won it at the death aswell, gerrard hitting the post. The Kuyt and Bellamy partnership looks to have promise. Kuyt did superbly and covered a huge amount of ground and exchanged passes well. Superb workrate. Bellamy was good and his pace was exactly what we needed. Agger was superb in defence with Carra and seems to be getting better and better. Momo was solid as usual. Aurelio I'm still not confident with. We looked better as a unit with Warnock in as left back.

Overall I'm pleased. A tough game and since the other game in the group finished 0-0 everyone has the same and we play Galatasaray at Anfield next and I think we can win that one.

Sissoko doesnt have creativity that we need in the middle today, even when he has space he doesnt know what to do. Well he's better than the first season, his distribution has improved dramatically :D  Lets hope he will be able to improve to the point that he can produce through passes as well

Very very harsh indeed. He had a good first half but in the second he did wander a bit. He didn't lose the ball very much at all during the game. Saying you want Garcia in ahead of Pennant is wrong IMO. Garcia gives the ball away more, is not naturally right footed and is not a winger.

Dont care whos fit or whose not you pick your strongest side for champions league... were 3 games into the Prem if any of our players need rested they shouldn't be playing for us!!!

just watched the game and cannot believe gerrard hasn't started that Rafa's first mistake. Zenden and Aurelio shouldnt be in out first eleven, they both look lazy and definately don't look like Liverpool players. terrible performance from both looked like they both would prefer to be at home watchin the game.

Everton at the weekend should have been a wake up call to Rafa even though decisions didnt go our way in the game we had a terrible line up. Gerrard has to be in the centre every time I dont care what he does for England he is the heart of our side and the team should be built around him. I cant understand why Bellamy Gonzalez and pennant didnt start what was the point in paying millions and not featuring them in the derby.

The only difficulty rafa should have is selecting either Momo or Alonso everyone picks themselves
( reina, Finnan, carragher, Agger, Riise, gonzalez, gerrard, sissoko or Alonso, pennant, Kuyt, Bellamy) this talk about rotation is bollox.

We have a team to win the league but if rafa picks a side that gets beat by Chelsea at the weekend then its all over for another year already.

I love Rafa and I love Liverpool but he needs to get the finger out big time i dont want to see Aurelio or Zenden again.

Some of Sissokos tackles first half were amazing seemed to get caught in possession a bit before he went off. Game we could have won with a bit more ambition.
