Spurs in for kewell

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Yes, Liverpool do have a massive wage bill if Kewell stays on, but the quality he adds to the team is too great to be compared to the injuries he has.  Gonzo can't cross well enough yet, and Riise in the midfield is sucide for our defense because they play much better with riise-carra-hypia-finnan.  Kewell's final ball is such quality that it will really help Kuyt and Crouch becoe 15+ season goal scorers.  Moreover, if he continues to improve at the rate he did last season then the sky is his limit, and i know he will never get back to his skills in his Leeds era, i think he can het close!

I think there are as many HK haters as there are fans. The one thing I have noticed about this site is the amount of posts that put :censored: on our players. i suppose that what a forum is for  and thats open discussion. I am just astounded that there are so many supporters out there who put :censored: on Liverpool team players. Everyone has a different opinion and everyone thinks they are a manager. in the end it doesn't matter what anyone says because management will do what they want.

Just remember the next time any of you out there who write off any of our players and then start cheering for them when they score or do something well....... you are a joke.

Get behind your team

There is no doubt football fans can be a fickle bunch me included. But that does not mean I dont support the team or players, Kewell aswell. And thats not a joke, thats exactly like saying Rafa didnt want Cisse but stll played him due to our options in the squad. So does that make Rafa a joke ?

My head definatley rules heart over this Kewell debate, logically it makes good business sense to sell him if we get an offer of 5m. Look at our squad now, Aurelio, Riise, Gonzalez, Garcia possibly Zenden and even Gerrard could fill the left hand position. Its not as if our squad is paper thin, and Rafas having to play Cisse wide right at times is it. If Aurelio and Gonzo didnt come, well then obviously I'd keep Kewell. But I think we or Rafa can be more picky now with who he wants in.

But for what its worth I cannot see anyone paying 5 million pounds for Kewell. So I think he'll be around for long enough to get fit (again), pull his finger out and ram these words back down my throat. I'd love him to, but I'm not holding my breath and I doubt any humble pie is coming my way.

Nothing intentional to you Bamaga Man
Just annoys me when we turn on a player and then say he brilliant. As you put it . We are fickle when it comes to the team.

Just wait and see after a loss or two and the new boys have a bad game . the knives will be out?

Anyway what is the cost of a banana these days ? :D
