I was looking for a new media player as my friend sent me some files i was having difficulty getting to play on windows media player.This site has loads of help and other really useful things i'm sure most of you will find useful.The VLC media player plays anything.

I never post links to anything normally but in this case thought it would help.........thanks Phil

I use VLC Media Player for everything anyway Phil. I prefer it to Real Player and WMP because instead of arsing around with your mouse looking for the pause button, simply leave your mouse to one side and hit the space bar on your keyboard to pause what you are watching or listening to. Superb tip which goes a long way I think you will agree.

C CLEANER, can be downloaded for free from this site.Ihave been using it for 12 months and can recomend it.Its a scan that will delete any :censored:

,tempory files cookies etc.iF YOU USE IT MAKE SURE YOU REMEMBER ANY PASSWORDS YOU HAVE.

I agree i downloaded cc cleaner and it gets rid of all :censored:

on your pc if you set it up right.Computer starts and runs quicker and frees up memory.Well worth ago

I use that one myself brother. Its as good as they get. For more serious problems tho, I use a program called dr web cureit. Especially good for unmovable pop-ups etc -It can be downloaded here----http://download.drweb.com/drweb+antivirus+free+services/

Cant be too safe nowadays..protection is a must unless, you want to say see ya in another life to your computer

It was my yearly discovery. During the summer the place I work in is full of conferences and the proffessors that come bring videos and stuff. I had to download dozens of codecs, buying codec licenses so that the windows media could display videos, and all that.

VLC plays videos, DVDs and everything you throw at him except RATDVDs. And it's download size is smaller than many codec packs available, ironically. A great suggestion indeed Drummerphil, Johnnymac.
