Great signings.  I cant believe it!!!

Doubt they could afford both players in a year as they will both cost £15 mil + but I am in shock.

A seasons loan at West Ham to get used to the EPL and prove themselves, then off to a big club for big money.

Wow thats some coup well done The Ammers, I thought Tevez was going to sign for Manure today aswell.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Can't believe it, why on earth did they go to the Hammers over Manure or the :censored:? I reckon their agent has been telling them lies

Major props to Alan Pardew. Don’t know he did it but to sign 2 players like that even if it is only on loan is an amazing achievement.  If Tevez does as well as he should, I think Mr. Abromovic will sign him next season as his value will be very high.

Mascherano is a cracking holding midfield player.  His destination could be a number of clubs.

This deal also shows that the media write a lot BS.  “Tevez was supposed to be going Man Utd.”  “Some said he was due for a medical at Arsenal yesterday.”  None of them saw this coming!!

One thing for sure is if they cant be at Liverpool I  would rather both them be at West Ham then any of Liverpool’s main rivals!!!

Maybe the Press have been writing BS as usual and a move to Man Utd for Tevez was never on.  Secondly Man Utd may of wanted to sign Tevez permanently but wasn’t going to pay the money that Corinthians wanted.

This way Corinthians can get 2 unhappy players out the club and at the same granted both do well the big clubs will have no excuse to pay the huge fee’s next year.

MSI who have the rights to both players were actually looking at buying West Ham last year but it fell through. Not sure if something will happen there now?

Something Fishy About Tevez And Mascherano To West Ham Deal

August 31st, 2006 by Alan Hylands

And I’m not talking about the year’s supply of jellied eels they’ve got in front of them either. The deal to take Argentina stars Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to West Ham United hasn’t officially been confirmed yet but football discussion forums are white hot with the news and the potential implications, not only for West Ham but for the premiership at large.

What would attract two of the world’s most sought after, young, talented international stars to Upton Park and the waiting arms of Alan Pardew? At first glance there is no logical explanation. West Ham had a great season last year after their promotion and surprised a lot of people (me included) with their classy football and solid defence that not only gave them a respectable league finish but also took them to the FA Cup Final.

I doubt that their Cup Final defeat in one of the liveliest and most enjoyable Cup Finals in many years will have been enough to tempt the two Argies though and despite having a foot in European competition with the UEFA Cup, I doubt that’s the real pulling factor either.

My suspicions lead me to a somewhat shadier deal being cooked up between the players’ club Corinthians, their owners MSI and another club with shady links to MSI and their owners. It’s long been rumoured that Roman Abramovich is the money man behind MSI and the reason that a broke Brazilian club like Corinthians could afford players like Tevez and Mascherano in the first place. It leaves no doubt in my mind that Chelsea and Roman are behind this proposed season long loan deal for the two Argentinians to West Ham and it’s only for one purpose - to acclimatise the players to London and the Premiership and see whether they are worth signing for Chelsea properly next summer.

There can be no other reason for this transfer to take place. Yes, West Ham are a good, homely club with some good players but for a club to sign Carlton Cole this summer and turn around and also get Carlos Tevez, it leaves me wondering what the motives are. I think I’ve worked out the obvious answer and it doesn’t bode well for the rest of the Premiership.

We’ve seen Chelsea’s strange buys and loan deals in the past with players like Smertin and Jarosik but this moves things to another level completely. Chelsea don’t outright own these players or their club but their guiding hand can skew the transfer market that they can prevent any of their near rivals in the top five from having these players while they park them at a safe and respectable club, close but not too close, for a season to let them mature in the English game.

Something stinks around here and the smell is increasingly eminating from Roman Abramovich’s direction.

Probably a wild conspiracy theory, but makes sense of probably the transfer coup of the decade, dont you think?? West Ham being no threat to Chelski and all that.

I think it's hilarious - I got the impression that Fergie thought Tevez's signing was nailed on. :D

Not sure about the Abramovich conspiracy theory, but they're two cracking players and all of a sudden West Ham look pretty formidable. With those two now on their books, I think we've done well to get one of our fixtures against them already out of the way. I can see our major Prem rivals having problems against them.

i wouldnt be surprised m8.. they are ruining this beautiful game and that is an understated fact!

no-one is jealous of chelsea ... but we aint on a level playing field anymore, which is a crying shame. especially as the F.A and other influential organisations within the game consider CFC's modus operandi to be deemed  'acceptable'  :no  how the f@ck can it be...and more to the point why cant the dimwits at lancaster gate along with virtually every 'pundit' currently appearing on our telly's have the balls to say it isnt and do something about it...

they are 'championed' by the media... held in 'the highest esteem' by their own supporters, ones ill add who have suddenly come out the woodwork post 'abramovich' anyway...they are touted as the 'favourites' for every piece of silverware out there...(really?)  yet they 'leach' this working class industry of its soul, day in day out. it must stop. either by sanction or by public deference..

no, mr abramovich/mourinho/kenyon et al. nobody is in awe or envy of anything that emits from the bowels of stamford bridge, nor its empire globally.. but EVERYbody with a decent appreciation for all that is good about the game we are so in love with (even chelsea old school) must realise the writing is on the wall. its becoming an absolute farce....

still, there will always be the odd result like the 'riverside massacres' to cling onto i suppose...  Don Abramovich, you serve your minions well...for now.  :glare:

Champions league?   your having a larff comrade...

MSI - based in London - have also added to their stable by signing River Plate striker Gonzalo Higuain - who is set to be taken to England next year.

As part of the deal MSI have bought half of the player and he will now stay with River until next summer before then being moved on, with South American sources insisting The Premiership will be his next stop.

"Having the chance to spend more time at River and then go to Europe is a nice," he said.

"I try not to think too much in my transfer. River has been the team that helped me be known in Europe so now I have to do things correctly in Argentina before I go to Europe."

msi own alex at PSV also. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki....o_Alves

alcides at benfica also is suppose to be MSI owned.

I've heard this conspiracy theory before and when you look at the 'KNOWN' facts there is deffo something fishy going on. The footie authorities seem to be in some kind of denial that there is anything worth investigating and the closest there has benn to an investigation was when UEFA looked into CSKA Moscow's links with Abramovich (through sponsorship). We've got no proof but there are many different people all with the same opinion that something just isn't quite right with Abramovich's dealings in football.

As for the Hammers signing these two on loan, what a coup, I hope it's all above board for their sake.
