Sorry I remembered it being 5-0

The answer was Kev Keegan m.o.m. against B.M. Gladbach in his last game for us. He lost 6-0 at Anfield playing for Hamburg in the supercup against Liverpool

The boxer was Joe Louis.I heard this question years ago and was a bit sceptical.
This was taken from Joe Louis Wickipedia;

A not very well known fact is, that in 1944, during a promotional tour of Liverpool, England Joe Louis (as a publicity stunt) actually signed for Liverpool Football Club as a player. As of today the records still state that he was on the books and is classed has having been a Liverpool player.

Nice avatar Judge....

Ok.... tearing me eyes of it.... try this on for size.....

Besides the purchase of King Kenny (who was the 1st), how many other times have Liverpool FC broken the British Transfer Record for the purchase of a player? Name the players and how much did they cost....?

Close mate.... but Lawro joined us in 1981.... at that time the british transfer record was Bryan Robson and 1.5 million pounds...

He was the most LFC had ever paid at that time though....  :D
