DRUMMERPHIL'S THREAD - DONATIONS, PRAYERS AND GOODWILL MESSAGES

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby drummerphil » Sat Aug 19, 2006 5:10 am

I had Liverpool fc on the phone yesterday ringing me.Someone had been in touch about my situation. It seems for anyone with illness or a disability you have to send a copy of your higher award disibility living allowance certificate from the social and your credit card details. You then go on a list and are allowed two carers names with you.The disabled guy pays 75% and one carer goes free with the other carer paying full price. You contact the club with regard to games you want to attend and they decide if you can etc.I thought i would post this incase anyone has wheelchair bound family or friends because it will be a while before i can go.I can only just get down stairs, but the info might help someone else.

Money is really tight mate,we are still battling no end of :censored: and red tape trying to get something to live on,so a flutter isnt really on.Karen has been my full time carer and had to finish work in May to be by my side and she has not received a penny yet.I've got fatal brain cancer and get £86 aweek incapacity.......how :censored: is that.We also get DLA but that has to go on my monthly stairlift rent and mobility for the car.You get :censored: all help if your dying.

what a joke...and you just know there are people out there faking illness who probably get more and having nothing wrong with them.  :veryangry

Chin up Phil...have you been in touch with all the various cancer charities?  Can they help??

Hiya matey, trying my best really.Headaches and eyesight are the worst really. As for financial things,we are waiting for many decisions on things...i.e.  mortgage relief, council tax etc etc.....so hopefully things will ease eventually. Its taking months to sort, and the council offices keep losing paperwork or just keep making :censored: ups etc.....it just gets you down when obviously we have other urgent things (like fending off death) to worry about.I do try to get on here when i can and able..i have my laptop next to my bed always. Its just my tiredness, headaches and eyesight dont always allow.
But i know if i need cheering up which is often lately, one look on here normally surfices. You know i think all you guys on here are great anyway. :)
