What the so called pundits or critics say is irrelevant!
Most of these ballbags know nothing more about football than the average working class fan on a pub on a Friday night!
They've just kissed the right @rses to get where they are...95% of them talk sh.ite or feed off hype!

This does not mean of course that we do'nt have a chance,of course we do and we should all expect progress this year!
What LFC need to do is take one match at a time and basically forget about Chelsea and the rest!Look how close we were last year..then think back of how many games we drew or lost when we should have bagged all 3 points!
Its great that we have signed players and strengthened the squad...hopefully they can pull together and find form from the first game of the season!
Consistancy is the only thing that wins any league in the world!

I agree with that assessment. But last season, many didn't believe [apart from our own fans] that we would finish in the top three. And look what happened.

Am not too superstitious.... Don't really give a stuff who tips us to finish where....

Every season is the same for me..... I always expect us to win it and this one is no different...

Kiss off death?? More like kiss me @r$e... :D

Screw all punters..... I'll make up me own mind and I'm sure Rafa'll ensure that our boys have their heads screwed on right....

:p :D

After watching the victory over Chelski, I am placing my whole life savings on Liverpool to win the EPL title!

A one off match against a Chelsea that had clearly lacked match practise and had some of their key players out is nothing to get overally excited about and it's certainly not a result that automatically means we have the upper hand against Chelsea and we are going to beat Chelsea. The season is played over 38 games and Chelsea as we know don't lose many points so we will have to raise our game. I think it will be a close run contest and we have definitely improved a lot, but I don't think the result tells us anything about who will win the league.

If I'm honest, I'd say Chelsea will win it again, with us a close second, I hope I'm wrong but I can't see it.

Never forgive, Never forget.

Fuck the s*n
Fuck the st*r

I wouldn't even use them rags for bog roll let alone read the shite

To be fair, didnt they retract the statement soon after, ulike the rag?

also if you read it you will see its actually reporting what the police said as opposed to their own comment

who gives a flying fuck?

They are both owned by the same people. They both say the same thing. They both printed it. At the end of the day, they printed it.

You may think I'm over reacting but if you buy it, you might aswell be buying the s*n. Sorry, but even though I wasn't alive when it happened, it is something I feel very strongly about.

I hope I will aswell, I'm just refusing to get over-excited and unrealistic over a one off win against Chelsea, that's all. It was a good win for us and it's another trophy, however it's no representation of how this season will go.

I don't have SKY Gary.

The point I'm just getting at is that they both are basically the same paper and said the same thing, one gives a poxy apology that probably wasn't meant and people still buy the paper.

The other day people were banging on about how it is wrong to buy the NOTW and although they are owned by the same people as the rag (apparently) and the NOTW didn't say the stuff that the s*n and star said. Now the star said the same as the rag and people still buy the star.

Just to clarify, I'm not on about the fact they are owned by the same people, I'm on about the fact they both said the same thing.

tipped for the title excelent, at least more people are starting to take notice how good we can play and how much we have improved over the past few seasons that they are starting to reconise us as serious title conternders . All we need to do is stay focused on everygame .

Was reading the The Times this morning which mentioned the following:

..........after the 4-1 humbling by Chelsea at Anfield on Actober 2nd, Liverpool picked up 75 points, as aopposed to Chelsea's 67.  However, before that match Chelsea had 21 points compared with Liverpool's paltry seven.  In simple terms, that means Liverpool were the best team in the Barclays Premiership for all but the firt month of last season.  Nowe their players believe that a beeter team will hit the ground running.

Interesting little bit there.

If we can do the same as last season but also pick up enough points in the first month, then we will definately be up there.  I for one believe we can win the EPL we our current squad.  Yes the gelling of new players will account for those odd days but thats just part and parcel.

i think we have a better chance this season with all the new signings we have just got and mark g getting his work permit we look like contenders for the premiship, would still like too see another striker come our way before transfer window closes just too give us that extra edge....

Rafa has definetely made a squad capable of this next step.
Unlike Houllier rafa's transfers have been smarter. The only way to compare them in the transfer market is to say that Rafa shows us it isn't about figures, like how much you spend, it's about getting your research done thoroughly on a player and making the right selection.
