To be honest I'll be nervous when it kicks off... Always am really, This is business now and I reckon Rafa and Stevie will have the boys gee'd up... Shame Robbie's not featuring, I can't wait to see him slot one home again with that Number 9 on..... Bliss!

The Haifa coach raised a good point in his pre match interview, pretty much all the players have alot on their mind aside from a football match, he said alot of players at the club are concerned for the well being of their families and friends and will struggle to focus on the football match. If Liverpool can shake out the cobwebs, I am thinking 4-0, both teams seem to have mental baggage, lets hope we sort it out and take it by the throat, sorry Maccabi, you are the scapegoat.

I think it will be hard for us to get off to a fast start after playing so poorly in our last 3 pre-season matches, plus the butterflies of it being the first match that means something of the new season.  2nd half we should dominate and prove that we are clearly the better team, 4-0.

Am guessing that it'll be Pennant on the right, with Gerrard playing just off Bellamy.

Hats off to the Haifa fan (yossi ? ) interviewed outside Anfield on Sky sports channel . The fella had travelled from Israel to support his team and was honest enough to state that under present circumstances, moving the second leg outside of Israel was probably the right decision .

Goes to show that not all footy fans in Israel are c'ock eyed.
