As I've just qualified to start topics myself I thought I'd begin with this one... Simply, where've you been this Summer? Let's see if there are any wierd locations, also would you recommend where you went?

I went to Miami - South Beach, it's quality, if you watch CSI-Miami, the women there are actually like they are on the TV show. You can sit in a bar on South Beach on an evening and watch some awesome girls go by!

sancti petri on the costa de la luz in south western spain (atlantic coast) - absolutely amazing beaches, they just go on for MILES in either direction. the people we went with said they're exactly like the remote beaches in the middle of nowhere in western australia :cool:

I went to Budapest alone for 3 days on a stag do. Then took the wife to Bolivia for 2 weeks......

I stayed in Miami a few years ago, fabulous place and as you say the scenery is good

. Had to cancel my holiday this year unfortunately, but I hope to go to Canada next year.(like most people I have relatives there)
Best holiday I have ever had was Orlando when my kids were young.

I would love to go somewhere more exotic for a change. I have tended to play it safe while we have had to take the kids, but maybe someday I will get the chance.

i live abroad anyway so every day is an adventure, but my holiday this year i went to langkawi in malaysia, my favourite island. quiet and idylic

i'm thinking of going to dubai in feb/march next year. i've got a mate lives there and he has invited us to stay at his place. anyone been and is it any good?

Dubai is famous with "too much expensive hotels". But if you will stay at your friend-no problem

..BTW i heard they have cheap electroincs(Sony etc) if u interested to buy.

ive been mate, also have a friend lives there.

its a good place, plenty to do, even the ski centre, and the water park is great.

also shopping is good although there are too many expats there. oh and i forgot to mention there are also thousands of air hostesses based there :nod

i am sure you will enjoy it although summer time is roasting

I had a winter getaway at Karon beach at Phuket............awesome.

Just wish summer would arrive now........in fact i even take spring at the moment
