Oh poor players   :veryangry
they will be so afraid they might not play well ....

What would you say if a football team said it last July ?

"London is too risky now, so we will not come. Let's play in Paris ok?"

For many years London was the main target of the IRA. Can't remember Israeli teams saying it's "too risky"

The game WILL be held in Tel Aviv. End of story.

Er...you forget one important fact...We DONT have missiles raining down on us every day....and suicide bombers blowing up bystanders outside cafe's and bars every week!. :no

There is your mistakes, you should understand that the life here is normal as anywhere else.

"We DONT have missiles raining down on us every day"
Those missles can't reach Teal-aviv. is it so hard to understand?. I beleive we have anti missle weapon which will probably be used if needed at such event (it wont be needed).

"and suicide bombers blowing up bystanders outside cafe's and bars every week"
I don't even remember when was the last suicide.
If it's a secured event, they can send 1000 terrorist which wont be able even enter the town.

To our friends from israel, welcome

with the situation as it is in your country at the moment surely you can understand why the game should not go ahead, no amount of security measures you put in place will be enough to create a situation where the club and players will feel safe enough to be able to focus on what might be a very important game depending on the result from the first leg.

due to the clubs present need to keep bringing in the cash would we consider not going and forfeiting the tie.

lets hope uefa do the right thing.

Hey all,

I want to make it clear, that NOBODY died in Tel Aviv for many months from terror attacks. The rockets can't go past Haifa, which is many miles northern of Tel Aviv, and terror attacks are very, very rare right now, they even completely ceased. Tel Aviv is very safe.

You're saying the game won't take place here. That's fine, but don't forget that means Maccabi Haifa will qualify by forfeit.

I really don't see any reason why we need to talk about this issue in 10 pages....
right now UEFA decided that the game is in Israel, in Tel-Aviv.
there is a whole month until this game, and we don't know what will happen....maybe this war will end, maybe rockets will go on Tel-Aviv...WE DONT KNOW.
but i'm sure that UEFA will decide and will get the right decision in a date more colser to the game.

if UEFA will say that Israel can't host international games, we will play in Cyprus/Bulgaria/Turkey.
but if UEFA will saythat we can host, i don't want to hear one word about it from your coach or from your president....the last time we played in the CL group stage, we did it in the GSP stadium in Cyprus.

Now, that the games are in Israel again, we are not going to give up again.

5 years ago Chelsea came to Tel-Aviv, with full squad except the chickens, Desailly and Lebouf.

I hope that until the game in the end of August the war will be over, and that we will see you Liverpool fans in our beautiful country.

Now lets talk footbal, no politics!

and a little thing to the fans from Israel - stop cursing!!
you are making a bad name to Maccabi Haifa Crowd!
if you want, you can go to Locmotiv Sofia forum, where Bnei Yehuda fans are cursing them all day....join them.

that's why i am mad. they will be scared, while there is nothing to be scared of.
i don't blame them, but it's annoying that the news can affect people so much.

You have nothing to worry about mates! Tel Aviv is its very safe place. The security forces will keep you and your players safe from the moment you land in Israel until the moment you leave israel. Hizbullah havent any bombs that can touch Tel Aviv. Iwill be at Anfield. There is no reason that you guys will not visit Tel Aviv. Now, show us that YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALLONE is not just words for you.
hope to to see you at Israel.

Its a shame when two teams whose only objective is to play and entertain everyone in the "beautiful game" are forced to take steps to protect its players and fans from terroists whose main purpose in life...is to take anothers life away from them...is this really the world we are bringing our children up in?.  :sniffle
