Trezeguet

I think without their first team players and the 30 point deduction Juve will be looking at 2 seasons minimum in the lower leagues. I just saw an article on how much they stand to lose in revenue. Its f**cking scarey. They could lose hundreds of millions when you take into account ticket sales (probabley 50% loss), sponsorship deals, Champions league, TV deals (Juve had a TV deal worth £66m, now they will have to share the 14 million euros shared between the whole of Seria B). Their share price has already halved since the news. Add to that the fact that more teams will be after their players rather than Lazio's and Fiorentina (who may be able to retain some of theirs) and they are in serious trouble. I don't doubt they will be back because of their fan base, but with those sorts of loses they will need to rebuild over several years.

Juventus may be forced into selling David Trezeguet to Roma.

New coach Didier Deschamps had been hoping to keep hold of Trezeguet or loan him out as a last resort.

However, he may have to rethink his plans with Roma reportedly preparing an audacious €20 million (£13.7 million) offer for the 28-year-old.

Trezeguet has also been linked with a move to The Premiership and Juve officials may be tempted to wait for as long as possible to see if any bids are forthcoming from England.

The mass exodus out of Juve is expected to continue with the departure of Patrick Vieira this week, with Internazionale inching ever closer to agreeing a €13 million (£9 million) deal with the midfielder.

Lilian Thuram, meanwhile, is to put the finishing touches on his move to Barcelona on Monday.

The French defender, along with Gianluca Zambrotta, agreed to join the European champions from Juventus earlier this week.

He is currently on a charity tour in Africa but will travel to Spain on Monday to take his medical and finalise a two-year deal.

I cant really see us getting him now unless juve prefer to loan him out.

Juventus' demotion to Serie B will stand but Lazio and Fiorentina are to remain in Serie A, the Italian federal court appeals tribunal announced on Tuesday evening.

The Bianconeri had originally been handed a 30-point Serie B deduction for the forthcoming campaign, but, on appeal, that has now been reduced to a 17-point penalty even if the deposed champions' relegation stands.

Lazio and Fiorentina, meanwhile, have been allowed to remain in Serie A, but will start with 11 and 19 point deductions respectively.

Milan have been allowed to compete in the UEFA Champions League in the forthcoming campaign, although the Rossoneri start the coming season with an eight-point top flight handicap.

The federal court's president Piero Sandulli also confirmed that Lazio, Fiorentina and Milan have all been docked 30 points from their league total for season 2005/06.

The Italian FA are a disgrace, their politicians are a disgrace.

So only Juve get relegated?!!

And AC only get docked 8 points??!! That's less than three wins.

No morals.

Completely ridiculous, nothings changed, fiorentina milan and lazio stay in serie a but get deducted a few points and milan get to stay in the CL, so milan will win the league and the other two will get enough points to at least achieve a mid table place then back to normal the following season. Juve will be back up next season too and things will be back to normal there. Its a joke, its just telling them that they can cheat as much as they want because they can get away with it with only minor punishment

i still want trezeguet ... great great signing and now that pennant and gonzales are part of the squad...we could obviouslly use a striker with good heading ! they said they'd let him go if they get a good offer for him, i think if liverpool make a decent bid or even a good loan offer...they'd accept it...they know they'r back in serieA next season...they'll be looking to send one or two of their big names on load for next season imo....Cash in Rafa !
