I'd prefer if we went for Shaun Wright Phillips to be honest. Like Cool Hand Luke said, we can do better than Pennant..

This deal is pretty much wrapped up. Birmingham haven't made it public yet but the fact is, Steve Bruce has already started looking for a replacement as we speak.

Yes Mike you need to make up transfers like Leon did about a 'Welsh Striker' and they will come true

It hasn't quite hit Welsh Wizzard yet that the transfers will not always happen

Theres still plenty of time to wrap up a deal for alves or pennant, were not even in august yet. I reckon rafa is just trying to test sevillas resolve and i can see us agreeing a fee if rafa wants him that bad. Look at the crouch transfer, he payed what southampton wanted even though it appeared we were getin ripped off by 2mil odd. We need every penny we can get for the stadium, the team takes priority first obviously but maybe rafa is just trying to save a few quid by playing hard ball coz there is plenty of time left, maybe hes waiting for sevilla to crack. I wouldnt panick, hes got it sorted. No worries.

I know what your saying Dave but players need to time to train with their new team mate, get to know how the other players think, plus their is always a settling in period so although their is just over 3 weeks till the season starts it would be better for everyone to get the players bought and settled asap :;):

Yeah defo paul, it is important to get them settled an that and rafa said he'd ideally like all his players signed up before the trainging camp in switzerland but if it takes him longer to get his man and it saves money in the long run then am sure rafa wouldnt mind either pennant or alves arriving late in the day. Anyways i reckon at least one of these 2 will be signed in the next 2 weeks...fingers crossed and am not welsh wizard in disguise
