whenever i log on, sometimes it shows on my screen that i have posted recently and thread has been bumped, but when i view it, it shows the last date, which may be sometime ago.

how can a topic show on my screen out of date order, but with a ghost post with today date etc, that only i can see ??

has anyone else noticed this phenomena ??

c'mon judge get with the program, people have been bumping polls by voting for ages :laugh:

a vote doesn't count as a post but it does bump the whole topic up to the top page

whatever, it's old hat now and tedious so whoever's doing it please think of a more original trick :rasp

i didnt mean it like that woolly, i meant that some of the polls have my post name attached to it, suggesting it was bumped by me, but when i check the dates are old, not new, and sometimes it shows ive posted, even when i have not !!

if you were the last poster (regardless of however long ago) it will still show you as last poster even though it's somebody else who's actually done the voting, so at a glance it looks as if it's you who's bumped it when it was in fact almost certainly roberts

but how does it have todays date, with the todays time (eg: 11.38pm). thats what i see on my screen

I understand what you're saying because it's happening to me in a new computer at work. You load the page and it seems to be in an old state, but refresh the browser (press F5) and you'll see the real state.

I think it's browser/cache related, I have to fix that on that computer but it's been secondary task so far. As soon as I get it sorted I'll tell you how to fix it.
