surprised nobody put this up yesterday... anyway best wishes and prayers to those people involved.

RAFA: OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH THE PEOPLE OF VALENCIA
Paul Rogers 04 July 2006

Rafa Benitez tonight led colleagues and players Pako Ayestaran, Jose Manuel Ochotorena, Fabio Aurelio, Momo Sissoko and Eduardo Macia in sending condolences to those affected by Monday's train crash in Valencia.
At least 34 people are believed to have died in the underground train accident.

The Liverpool manager said: "We have many happy memories of our time in Valencia and want to send our condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in this awful tragedy. They are very much in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time."

"Tenemos muy buenos recuerdos de nuestra estancia en Valencia y queremos enviar nuestras condolencias a las familias y amigos de aquellos que perdieron la vida en este terrible accidente. Todos ellos están en nuestros pensamientos y oraciones en este momento tan difícil".

That said, I hope the people on charge that have spent millions building golf fields, and had that metro line without proper maintenance (already acknowledged and warned) pay for it.

But in this country nobody resigns their charge, and nobody takes responsabilities.

It saddens me to hear about tragic incidences where lives are lost. It makes you reflect how fragile our lives are and how short a time we have on earth. My prayers goes to the affected people in Valencia.
