LIVERPOOL will kick off the Premiership season after the list of televised games was announced yesterday.
Rafael Benitez's side will visit Bramall Lane to face promoted Sheffield United in the top flight's first game of the season on Saturday, August 19, kick-off 12.45pm.
It is one of 11 Liverpool games chosen by Sky to be televised live before the end of the year.
Early highlights include the Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison on Saturday, September 9 (12.45pm) and the trip to Chelsea the following week on Sunday, September 17 (1.30pm).
Six of Liverpool's first seven Premiership games will be televised live, although supporters will not be happy that all are early afternoon kick-offs, with the first 3pm kick-off at Anfield not scheduled until the visit of Blackburn Rovers in mid-October.
