Portugal's tactics were to win and they did it. England have divers too, Joe Cole is as bad as any Portuguese player.

plus Joe Cole is one player they had 11 divers on the pitch with more on the bench

I'll admit I don't like the Portuguese mentality at times, but unfortunatley most Latin teams tend to do it.

Still this shouldn't take away from the fact that Portugal deserve to be in the semi-finals, England fought very hard today but Portugal showed the bottle when it mattered most.

Bring on Brazil/France!

Gutted for stevie and carra, portugal wont go any further, both brasil and france would tw@t them. In reality england deserved fu.ck all for how they have performed in this tournament, they played heroically after the sending off but why did it take that to spur them on? The only positive that i can think of is that sven is offski but will things get any better under McClaren?

england were unlucky but from a liverpool point of view its looking pretty rosy.
ronaldo`s little drama queen act to get rooney sent off wont go down well at old trafford and his little wink to his team mate as rooney trudged off makes me think they targetted rooney.
ronaldo is already behind the van nistelrooy situation and his comments that he wants to sign for real madrid might just force fergie`s hand.
fergusons handling of the rooney situation early on in the tournament wont help his popularity in the halls of power.
the lads that missed the pens wont carry the can like pearce and waddle because of the heroic nature of the defeat.
i think at away grounds next season united and some chelsea players are going to get some stick.

What do you base that on?

Portugal have been a better side and played better football than France consistently for a few years now, and Brasil are hardly lighting the world on fire. Also, Scolari will know the Brasil team inside out.

Erikkson really is a disgrace. How could that group of players perform so badly throughout this tournament. Crouchy was superb when he came on today. Im sorry for Carra and Stevie.
