Without stating the obvious this is our hardest game yet. However there missing deco and costinha which will weaken them especially down the middle. I think Gerrard and Lampard expecting the both start will have a busy game

my team

Robinson

Neville
Ferdinand
Terry
A.Cole

Hargraves

Becks
Lampard
J.Cole

Gerrard

Rooney

Team news.

Just heard a report from Martin Tyler that England will be playing 4-5-1, Hargreaves in for Carrick in midfield with Rooney up front on his own.

For Portugal, Ronaldo is fit apparrently and will start with Simao on the left and Figo playing central in Deco's role.

l'm not sure england will beat portugal tonight if they still play like they did in quarter n group stage. they look so stupid, but l hope stevie will find his best form n take england to a victory like he did for liverpool.

todays game will be a humdinger 3-2 england and gerrard to score an amazin winner with 5 to go,
after portugal are 2-1 up, a bit like euro 2000.

Portugal are a decent side, not good enough to win the World Cup tho, altho I still think they'll beat England on penalties. :D

Good luck, I'd like England to win, to tarnish Scolari's record.

You never know, with a win tonight then anything can happen. Personally I think that Portugal will fall a little short, but I'll happily be proved wrong. Image

I can't see a team beating Brazil or Germany, my bet is another Germany vs Brazil.

I reckon france will shock brasil tonight, their gonna sneak it with an henry goal. I think england will beat portugal bu i dont know if sven is brave enough to make the big decisons. If england take an early lead they will defend like fu.ck, and if they are gonna do that then they wil need pace for the counter so lennon would be the best option but i'd doubt that sven would have the balls to take beckham off.

Portugal vs Brasil would be very interesting, seeing as Scolari will know Brasil inside out. Portugal would beat Brazil I think, or come damn close.

England win 2-0 Portugal should be no problem if we actually decide to play to our strengths and not worry about Portugals. If we have the best England team since 66 as Sven says, we should go out and prove it. France in semi's then Germany in final. Then home with the cup.

I think the Englnad players will step up a gear or two now, they absolutely have to if they want to progress.
