honestly, if given a choice, hes not really that impressive a right winger (in fact, hes not even a natural winger, more a right sided midfielder) given that we have to pay in the region of 10mil to get him. for that money, we can get better, youger players for that position im sure. the only thing that caught my attention abt him in the world cup so far were his unusually tight jerseys. thought he looked like he was wearing his little brother's clothes.

Erm...Bob, I was joking about Srna. :D

I'm an avid fan of Jermaine Pennant, so he'd be my first choice right midfielder. :;):

Just for the record...

Liverpool players have now scored 5 goals in the World Cup:

1) Alonso against Ukraine (match winner)
2) Crouch against T & T (match winner)
3) Gerrard against T & T
4) Gerrard against Sweden (should have been match winner )
5) Kewell against Croatia (equalizer that sent them through)

Not too shabby at all!

Even better, Crouch's goal was a well-placed header (we've discussed his mystifying weakness in the air on here before), Stevie's first goal was struck with his weaker left foot and Kewell's goal came from his weaker right foot!

Yes but he still let the ball bounce off his head rather than head it in the way Gerrard did against Sweden

He was offside though!  :D

shhhh!   :D

He'll be fit and ready to go against Italy.  I hope he'll have a terrific match (match winner, maybe?)   :D

Latest team news Carragher dropped from team Hargreaves moved to rightback and Carrick brought in to 5 man midfield. I know Carragher didnt play well the other night  and Hargreaves had a good first half but Hargreaves at full back? :(

We all know that they can scored but they should score more by now.

I and friends ( they are VIP ppl from Eng who works in Singapore and Asia Pac ) watched the game between  Eng and T&T. We were all upset with PC .... he should scored more than 2 clear goals at least.

Maybe who knows that if we manage to sign Kuyt, it's could be next season is the last season for PC if he doesnt improved .

strange decision, letting carra take one of the penalties. i would rather have terry taken it instead but at the end of the day, the england boys just werent composed enough. knew portugal were going to win it the moment it went to penalties.

good england performance but sadly wasnt enough.

now that england are out, liverpool isnt represented anymore in the worldcup. germany vs brazil in the final anybody?
