I really don't think he will spend much time on the bench unless he is injured.

If he's injured, why would he be on the bench?

:D

I think what he means is he will be in the starting eleven every game unless he's injured. He might well be you never know, however I doubt it very much. We have Crouch, Fowler, Bellamy and another striker is likely to come in. And it's no secret that Rafa likes to deploy a rotation system. I still think Bellamy will feature in most of our matches next season.

What I meant was that he wouldn't be relegated to the bench for the marjority of the season. I could see Benitez starting Crouch and Fowler in some games but I expect he will play at least as much as Crouch this season.

Bellamy will play more than Fowler, that's for sure. I think he'll play as much as Crouch. I do expect us to sign another striker, therefore all four strikers will all get a fair share of their game time. If that's the case then Bellamy in some games will be relegated to the bench.

With us in 4 comps we will need the 4 strikers over the course of the season. I also believe Rafa has plans for a 2 team set up - one for Europe and one for the Premier league.

I am slightly concerned that we have not been able to get rid of some of the squad players (Dudek, Traore, Pongolle etc) to accomodate these new arrivals though. Might leave our squad a little on the heavy side!!

i certainly hope he comes, and he will cos he would be joining a very good team.

Do you have to resort to name-calling just because someone has a different opinion to yours?

What right do you have to call anyone on this forum stupid? ???

All these great players on show at the world cup and we get ummmmm... Craig Bellamy.
Its such a shame that we don't seem to have the money to spend on a big name striker.
Oh well, guess only time will tell wether he's a success with us or not.

I agree......that Samuel Eto'o is sh!te as well, not to mention Mark Gonzalez, Damian Duff and Momo Sissoko.

I agree, players who arnt at the world cup our fuc*king :censored:, because thats what you judge a player on, reading the papers we could get Klose, hes rating 15 million after scoring a couple of goals, thats the world cup for you, i suppose you want us to have another fuc*king diouf on our hands.

So who do you think we should buy for 6 million who can play upfront from the world cup??

Give the lad a chance before you knock him.

Maybe we do not need another striker (Bellamy, Crouch, Fowler) despite Cisse's injury seeing that we still have Pongolle within our ranks and Rafa's tendency to play Garcia/Gerrard behind the hole.

thats my thought exactly. Craig would get more playing time and Pongolle would be happy to get more matches as well
