Gaurantee you Bellamy will be injured for most of the season next year.
Dodgy knees, dodgy haircut, big cheecky mouth , but he can play football.
If he stays injury free, it could be good. But its a big IF!!!

ha nice

Does anyone have a pic of Bellamy's wife. It would be interesting to see what kind of bird would marry this nutter.

I've seen her.  She looks like a pig as well imo.

Don't you mean sheep  :p  :D

Most of us can.  It just seems that Rafa appears to be momentarily blinded by something none of us can explain.  He'll soon find out what he's like then Rafa will get shut.  If Rafa thought Cisse had a big ego he's seen nothing yet.  Probably end up back at Coventry after a couple of injury-filled seasons.

By most of us you mean just you and him then. I believe he can do well for liverpool and so, it looks like does Rafa, and unless you claim to be Rafas mentor then i dont believe you have a better footballing knowledge than him and i reckon you should leave the big decisions to someone who knows what hes doing. Then again, what do i know, Rafa could be calling you up every week to consult you on your views and ask you what he should do.

I want Bellamy to come to Liverpool. He would be a good striker, and definitely our best.

I have to admit with his past track record it might be a potentially risky signing but as the saying goes "in Rafa we trust!" :D

The general concensus amongst Liverpool fans it appears to me (from talking to a number of fans at work) is that Bellamy is trouble and any google search will confirm that.  Have you been in a coma for the last 3 or 4 years or something??  He's even coming home from his honeymoon early to attend court for allegedly assaulting a young girl in a nightclub.  Or maybe I'm just making that up as well.  For an honest assessment why don't you try contacting Sir Bobby Robson, Alan Shearer and Graeme Souness who will back up what I'm saying.  Then again they have nothing on you for experience have they  :glare:

I think his troubles are behind him now. If not then Rafa would rop his interest quicker than you can say Everton were in Europe.

So being up in court is a reason not to play for Liverpool? I guess we should get rid of Finnan then. Fowler was arrested back in 2001...should we bin him off too?

Many LFC players past and present have had accusations made against them, been arrested, up in court etc, but unless the judge or jury says "guilty", don't immediately assume that they're in the wrong.

There's a huge difference between being summonsed and being guilty. Bellamy obviously has a reputation, and he's an easy target. I'll reserve judgement on this alleged assault until the courts tell me he's done something wrong.

I was called Jan Clueless by a prominant poster on this site when I hinted at Bellamy as a possible target when he was leaving Newcastle.

Seems everyone is having a say on Bellamy so here's my two cents for what they're worth.

Excellent plalyer and will undoubtedly improve our attack.  Still has that yard of pace that Michael Owen lost following his injuries and is far more aware of what is going on around him than either Djibril Cisse or Milan Baros.  Can take people on and scores all sorts of goals from the spectacular to the gritty.

Attitude wise there is the potential for a problem.  He has caused an upset in the past and does have a bit of a bad boy reputation.  As several people have pointed out though he has recently been married so hopefully that will settle him.  Tbh i dont mind someone with a bit of attitude if they channel it in the right direction.  We could do with a player in our ranks who is going to wind the opposition and their fans up something rotten because all it does is to frustrate them and hopefully eventually leads to mistakes.  Ultimately if you combine certain elements of his attitude with his undoubted ability then we are gonna have quite a player on our hands.

Add that to the fact that he is supposedly a Liverpool fan and thus should technically play for the shirt and we are only gonna have to stump up £6.5 million for a British player in a vastly overpriced transfer market then we've got a bargain on our hands.

If worst comes to worst then just ship him out again at a similar price for what we paid for him.  In my opinion though this wont happen.  I can see him settling at Anfield for a fair few seasons and becoming one of our more consistant scorers.

Fact, Bellamy is a top notch footballer and my god does he know it, hence the ego, and yes he has a dodgy past to say the least, but hes not a kid anymore, hes 26 and Rafa is going to set him straight and Bellamy knows this is his big chance, if this goes t!ts up, he wont get a better chance of winning stuff.

Like rafa says, he has the pace, ability and workrate, but he needs to see if he has the desire to play for Liverpool.

If he does we will have one hell of a player and im convinced he is going to be a huge success.
