i think we should buy him and take the gamble on his attiude because it is a gamble like any player you buy, more so with Bellamy than most players but as mentioned in this thread he is a fan so he might try harder also he is not that badly priced if he upsets the morale they is a good chance we would get our money back if we sold him

i really dont think Bellamy is a Liverpool standard player. He is just like Baros with more pace. His finishing is not great and he just dosnt score enough goals to warrant a place at Liverpool. We need an out and out goalscorer, Bellamy isnt one, he's a partner for someone. Personally i dont think he has any more abilty then Pongolle.

Are you on a wind up mate. "Ha ha" Bellamy is a class player has a quality touch and has pace to burn. Can finish with either foot Also scored 17 Goals last season so he can't be that bad. At 6m he will be a quality signing could be up there competing for premiership top scorer in this team and with his attitude right. He could be the bargain of the summer.......

The lads I talk to are not happy with us having anything to do with this welsh clown.  He just causes trouble wherever he goes and will bring shame to the club.  Souness, Robson, Shearer just got abused by this guy so what chance has Rafa got eh??  His problems are not just confined to the football pitch.  What about all the off-field antics and alleged assault on a young woman which is due to come to court??  If he gives Stevie G any sh*t then he'll end up going back from whence he came.  It seems the only person he gets on with in football is Mark Hughes.  WE (THE KOP) ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THIS ONE RAFA!!!

Gaurantee you Bellamy will be injured for most of the season next year.
Dodgy knees, dodgy haircut, big cheecky mouth , but he can play football.
If he stays injury free, it could be good. But its a big IF!!!

He does have a bad injury record so basically we're getting some gobby welsh lad, sat on the bench on £60/70,000 per week and due in court for allegedly attacking someone in a nightclub!!  Bent or Defoe for me.  Don't forget there was a reason why us and nobody else would touch him last year.

I've come to this thread late, and seeing as though there are probably about 200 posts from Kingycrouch among the 11 pages, I'll ignore what's been said already and just say my piece. :p

Absolutely no question, Bellamy is class. He's got very good pace, can beat a man, he's got good touch, can make and take chances, and he's got the kind of vision and passing game in the final third that has no doubt raised Rafa's eyebrows.

There are two big minuses though, as I'm sure people have preyed on - his disciplinary history, and his record of injury problems.

The disciplinary side is not something I'm unduly concerned about. Let's face it - he's played under Bobby Robson, was always soft with him, and Souness, who almost certainly brought the worst out of him. On the Wales front, I think the fact that we're talking about a footballing nation that opted for Vinnie Jones as captain not too long ago tells you all you need to know.

It'll be a whole different world if Bellamy found himself at LFC. From being the big fish at Blackburn, he'd suddenly be a minnow struggling for attention in a squad full of stars who have nothing to prove to the fans. If anything will quieten a player down, it's looking round a dressing room and seeing the likes of Gerrard, Carragher, Alonso, Hyypia, Finnan and Kewell. There's not a Titus Bramble or Lorenzo Amoruso to be found at a club like ours, and straight away he'd be fighting to be among the best 10 players at the club.

My concerns are more about his injury problems. He's arguably been more injury prone than Owen over the years, and you do worry that you won't get many games out of him for the money paid. That said, he had a good injury free run last season, and the club doctors will definitely probe away at his problem areas.

Also, he's still only 26, so if things don't work out, there should be resale value even after 2 or 3 years.

My opinion - for £6m, definitely bring him in. :)

I thought he was injured for a large part of last season?  Feigned injury at Newcastle so we don't know if he was injured or not there, (out for 4 months there though - knee problems).  In fact who knows if he was actually injured last season or just fancied a few weeks off on full pay.  Bobby Robson had major problems with him - as did Souness, Shearer was abused by text and made fun of when they lost the cup final (still his team mates at that time) he allegedly racially abused someone outside a Cardiff nightclub around 2003 and this year allegedly attacked a young lady in a Cardiff nightclub, (due to come to court).  Why the hell are we thinking of signing this guy?  Get a better professional like Defoe or Bent imo.  How can anyone not see that this guy and his over-inflated ego is serious trouble.
