Liverpool's Houllier-Curbishley plan to cost £2M
May 24, 2004
If Liverpool are to land Charlton Athletic boss Alan Curbishley to replace Gerard Houllier, the entire project will cost the Merseysiders almost £2 million.
As investment talks with the Thai government stall and Djibril Cisse's move from Auxerre likely to cost £14 million, Liverpool will be cutting it fine with the decision to axe Houllier.
The Frenchman will be handed £1 million compensation if he does decide to leave Anfield. Curbishley's buyout clause at Charlton is also worth £900,000.
Its also been suggested that Liverpool will double Curbs' wages, to £2 million-a-year, to bring him to Anfield.
