I support the royal family. It is one institute that should not be stripped from this country, like so many others. Its part of our heritage and identity as a nation.

For those who dont think the death penalty doesnt exist, then i say try killing the Queen (that is the only offence that carries death), and rightly so. Also, if the Queen is targetted then as far as im concerned, then that constitutes an attack on Britain - period.

As for the thread title - Gerrard should get a gong, if barry ferguson got one

Apprantely he's been nominated because he's done a lot of charity work for a cause. If that's the case and he's been a dedicated presence to that cause for a long period of time, then he should get one. If he's nominated for just football (which most footballers are) then that's pathetic.
